Based on the light angle, only thick objects or objects far away from the wall would create shadows that large.
I think those 2 paintings are very thin and close to the wall so they would create a thin shadow.
Maybe next time use thick floating wall shelves instead of 2 thin paintings on the wall.

This is the quintessence of excellence in Photoshop tutorials. Succinct while explicitly showing every step with not a single word for sake of vanity -- brief yet thorough.
Thanks for teaching us yet another useful Photoshop technique.

Can you make a tutorial on how to make a photo look like an old painting?
For example, could you show how to make a photo look like the album picture to In the Aeroplane Over the Sea or the Mona Lisa

First of all, you are really a great teacher and person to release your tutorials for free. But one criticism. The paintings would have to be as thick as the shelf to make the shadow fit.

I've been using Photoshop everyday for nearly 15 years and this might be first time I didn't learn something new from a PiXimperfect video. This dude is a freaking legend.

Unmesh, do you have a dedicated tutorial on just using Bevel & Emboss on technical objects and mockups for devices? If so, could you do one? That would be so useful!

Been using Photoshop for about 12 years now, I still had forgotten that under Layer > Layer Style lived the Global Light controller. So cool.

Whenever we export some art work in Photoshop, why does the quality slider show 1-12 and why not 0% to 100%
