I tried your technique with a camera photo of a printed photo on plain white paper. I used Photoshop and Topaz for an acceptable result, then tried your workflow. Still, I didn't get the picture to a standard that I would think it was him. It still looked artificial and filtered, even with no style set, even after many regenerations. So instead, I used the image in a video model, KLING 1.6, and captured a frame from the result. Then I did a bit of light enhancement in Photoshop. The result was much more like the person since it looks like the model reconstructs the image. The key part was after the first frame when it removed all the JPEG artifacts and cleaned up a muddy background, resulting in a much better image despite the initial poor quality.

In your last video, you were criticizing AI, and now you're using it to achieve things we couldn’t even imagine with the tools we had in the past. AI is evolving so fast. A few years ago, did you ever think we’d be generating banners, thumbnails, or even videos just by typing a prompt Probably not, but now it’s becoming the norm.
The results aren’t perfect yet, but the quality is improving every single day. What if one day you wake up and see the news that an AI tool now gives you fully layered artwork You could move and adjust each element just like you would in Photoshop or Illustrator. It sounds crazy, but it’s definitely possible.

Using AI to revive the dead is extremely distasteful. It is not reviving them, it is not generating pictures of them, it is mashing them up with millions of stolen images, effectively replacing your memories of a real person by fake memories that never happened. Using AI to revive people kills them in your memory faster.

Recently I had to edit and touch up close to 200 family photos for my aunt's memorial. Some of these photos mainly B&W, went back to the 1920's and 30's. The recent upgrades with AI and generative fill as well as the Neural filters, saved me enormous amounts of time. I didn't use ChatGPT, but didn't need it.

It's incredible where we are going and so fast !
But essentially we are creating a fake world, day by day. Fake photos, fake videos, fake voices...
In the next few years everything will be fake, just pixel generated from a AI machine.
The new reality is going to be the generated reality.

Small tip from me. If you ask the AI to create a person and it doesn't look like them, you can use FaceFusion 3 to swap the face back using the original image. Sadly the quality is not great but you can run the resulting image through another app to restore the face again after that.

Its always a proud feeling when your kids involve you in their work, this must have been exponentially more meaningful to your mom seeing her late father, and you showing interest in him. Great work, what a great example of how technology can be used to improve our lives.

The software seems incredibly complicated and definitely time consuming. I can't imagine using it more than once or twice.
On a different note, your English is perfect. Unfortunately it's UK English. Here in the US the word plaid is pronounced pladd, not played.

Great demos. I tried to tool but for all the image-to-image generations I couldn't get any picture accuracy close to the real portrait.
Regardless, this is a glimpse of the future. Exciting times to have our loved ones back in at least an 'artificial' way

Thank you for sharing this amazing tool! The part about bringing loved ones back really touched my heart. I've been using Dzine for a while it's honestly one of the best tools out there. Your videos are always so well-made. Keep up the great work!

I used an app that brought back photos to live and they moved as if it were a video. I didn't enjoy it, because it brought back somebody who had passed away and It's was hard enough accepting their departure.

I really love this video. It's the best one I've seen about using AI. There are indeed some things that Photoshop can't do. I think I need to explore Dzine more deeply(so many tools...). Thanks for the tutorial!

The story telling of your father was heart-breaking as he passed away way before you were born and now he has someone alive in this world that changes the face of Graphics Design and especially Photoshop.

This tool is incredibly useful and well-designed! It provides exactly what I need, and I can already see myself using it regularly in the future. Highly recommend itdefinitely a keeper!

It’s hard to be amazed with all the nonsense happening with AI but This was one of the best uses and explorations of AI to date!
Thank you for sharing.
Where to now for Photoshop!!

reply

I love with how you showed real use of how to use AI, even i would not be so emotional attached with grandpa, but for some family members, this would be very emotional and useful.

Thank you so much for sharing this useful tool! I've been using Dzine for a while now, and it works great. As always, the video is really well done. Keep up the amazing work!

That software is not working for me! Every time it creates a completely different person! Don't know- why! Even it has issues with the fingers as well.

if my partner passed away, and i saw an ai video of her that was not her, and not how she smiled, my soul would hurt badly. i would feel immense pain.
reply

I watched you for many years showing us Photoshop, I guess those days are gone now, but I'm pleased you've managed to pivot into AI. Well done.
