Firefox is my favorite. I've tried every browser out there (Iron? Waterfox anyone?) but I keep coming back to Firefox for a few strong reasons. 1) I can install it on any hard drive in any directory I want without tricks. Can't do that with the Chromium-based ones, and I don't want my browser on my boot drive. 2) It syncs between every device I have (Windows 10/iOS/Linux/Android). I had hopes for Brave, but it forces an install on C: drive and according to developer comments, being able to install on other drives by choice isn't a priority. 3) NO Chinese products where security is concerned. Duh. I can't be comfortable with anything from China shepherding my data along and why would anyone be comfortable with that?

I have the Yandex Browser running as My Back up and Its an Opera (with a Bit of Chrome/Chromium) layout with lots of security features as Default such as WOT on the Search which on the English version is Provided by DuckDuckGo Also does something which Chrome cannot do which is Auto sync to another Device This is Not like leaving a draft on Email Instead you close the browser then the Device Go to the New Location Open up the Browser and Boom all your paused page/tabs is ready for use The Yandex Mail is a Google mail clone but is Not the current Layout version still lots of bells and whistles including HTML Only 10 GB space Link is Here Why not click the Buttons and check out the Quality of the search engine too?

I have an issue with Chrome: My computer slows down and even freezes when I approach 320 MB of Chrome's memory when I go to delete History etc, it always shoes a max of 320 MB and my task Manager shows everything is fine - CPU idling - Memory, usually 4 GB free and HD idling. I have searched the Internet, YouTube to no avail. I have also gone to Google Forums and have asked and also done searches for the issue to no avail what so ever. I have also contacted Google directly with no results. I did find a patch that seems to work, but is not consistent. Any ideas on how to fix this issue as 320 MB of Chrome memory really sucks and need a real fix that seems to be quite elusive? Thanks for reading

Maybe I am wrong, but I think Firefox have better privacy than Google/Microsoft/Opera, and for me it is fast too with old and new computers. With new computers I don't care so much about ram usage, i think all that browsers work fines, but I prefer Firefox because it is usually default in Linux too. Maybe Chrome eat more ram, but it don't define if it is good or bad thing, because some apps eat more ram to just keep things working faster, Android do that, even in Linux, if you use Gnome GUI, it works with this concept too.

Yesterday I tried to access the B & H Photo and Video site. Chrome blocked it, and tried to force me to shop on the Chrome store. I had to find a workaround. I tried to use Edge, but Norton blocked Edge. I don't use Norton, I have Bitdefender. Other people I know had the same problem yesterday, and I haven't tried today yet I had to use yahoo search for B&H, and click on their link. I will never, ever, for any reason shop on Google or Chrome stores. And, I can uninstall Chrome as fast as I installed it.

Vivaldi and Opera GX are the best browsers hands down! Also, they are almost identical, as TechGumbo stated the browsers were started and co-founded by the same individual who left Opera and moved on to Vivaldi. The 2 differences particular to myself is the easier to use screenshot tool in GX and the ability to throttle CPU and RAM consumption in GX (which is useful for gaming but also for running on lower spec PC's).

The reason I use Firefox is because, for some reason, videos on Youtube has better sound (Odd, since YT is owned by Google. One would think Chrome has better sound). However, when not watching or listenting to videos, I use the free Epic browser which comes with a free VPN. It is based on Chrome but it is not constantly running in the background like Chrome.

lots of opposing opinions about this. I used google chrome but am sick of all the malware I get. they are more interested in butting in on your life than protecting you from 3rd party hackers and bad websites. I need a browser that protects me while I download files and blocks fake sites that pretend to be the sites I go to and google chrome isn't it!

Firefox is the browser for me. It has all the extensions and addons you could ever want, it's fast and massively customisable. As crazy as it sounds, I like the fact the menus are compact - designed for a desktop computer (and not some weird, desktop/touch hybrid). My only complaint is Firefox Mobile, which is by far the worst mobile browser.

Need to verify sources but Opera has recently been caught peddling predatory loans through Android apps. At least the company behind Opera. Been a looooooong time Opera user and now concerned if they are morally numb enough to do that, how safe is my data? Certainly giving Vivaldi a try.
