Here is a shot in the dark. Most of us know the the system is broken. Most of us know the system can't or won't help. I believe most of us do not trust the system or any of it minions. So - I propose we just work around them. There are many targets we can focus on. So - let me just float an idea for one serious problem - homelessness. There are so many people without homes and many homes abandoned and empty. We have vehicles such as go fund me and people who know how to organize - legally. Why can't we use the power you and the internet/social media in general have and put together people with the knowledge and the people with the desire to help and the money and crate our own entity to purchase the empty housing and use the money and volunteers to make the homes livable and form co-opts to run them and give the homeless places to live and support to make sure the people and the homes are properly taken care of. Help them get jobs, re-educate or just basically educate. Get the sick - physically and/or mentally the help they need. We do not need the government to do this. We have the ability to fix this with plain normal human beings. We have the power to make change.

One doco I can recommend (if you have boxes of tissues - you'll need them) that I have yet to find anywhere online is called Lion in the House. It follows several families who have a child with cancer, over a 5 year, period. The good, the awful, and all in between. It is graphic at times, but raw and very real as it shows the child / young person with cancer, their loved ones, nurses and doctors who strive to cure or prolong the life of the cancer sufferers. It's quite along dodo from memory - 3-4 hours? Haven't cried so much in a long time. It's been almost 10 years since I first saw it (a local video shop, famous for its rare video / DVD titles had it for rent) and I've never forgotten it. There are small snippets of it online, but nothing more than 10 mins if that

Making a Murderer was found to be fraudulent by Netflix consciously omitting information that showed a higher level of evidence against Avery. I was going to watch it until I had watched reports about it. Some good documentaries not listed are: Crazy Love Bettie Paige Reveals All The Act of Killing (Hard to Watch) Islam: What the West Needs to Know (Some Won't Acknowledge It) Snuff: A Documentary of Killing on Camera (Really Hard To Watch) Full Tilt Boogie G.L.O.W. Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me Cropsey The Bridge Kimjongilia Best of Enemies Waiting for Superman Tower Man on Wire

Dear Zachary..So many people have said it already, but it doesn't hurt to say again.. if you haven't seen it, WATCH!! A beautiful tribute that becomes SO much more. I cried my eyes out, and was deeply moved by this doc. You want to reach thru the screen and hug and hold the family, and meanwhile jump thru and rip the evil woman's head off. So many emotions and they stay with you. I'll absolutely agree, it is NOT worth reading the spoiler. It hits you like a ton of bricks and the emotions are raw. Sorry to ramble..it was just that powerful/good!

What about Damnation, Wild Europe, Ken Burns Civil War and The West series, Planet Earth 2, Rotten, Boom bust boom, Norsemen, Pump and of course Zeitgeist. I know, there are only nine and a couple/three aren't docs but that doesn't matter. There are way too many excellent shows on N/Fx covering too many topics of interest for one person to make a top 10 list for anyone else with any chance of accuracy.

I just watched this after seeing the remarks on your best 10 . I cannot express --- through tears --- how this documentary moved me so. A very very incredible documentary to say the least. Thanks for the advice of not reading about the story before I watched. Everyone needs to see this.
