Thanks for the good info. I'll be checking out some of those shows I haven't watched yet. And I hope you don't mind but just one more very important thing: DEAR GOD, PLEASE OH PLEASE LET THE POWERS TO BE GIVE US MORE OF COLONY OR HAVE ANOTHER ENTITY TAKE IT OVER & CONTINUE ON! AMEN. What dumba cancels an EXCELLENT show at the height of its popularity? Not fair that they don't count the hundreds of thousands or more of people who have to DVR the series because of work, kids, whatever. The worst thing with cancelling Colony is that it blindsided EVERYONE and left us all with questions that'll never be answered...this show has at least another 3 or 4 good seasons ahead of it with good writers! If you can give me a name & address of the moron/money counter who gives the YEA or NAY as to which shows get cancelled or returned, I'll take my chances with a few letters. Or emails if you can give me that. I've never been so pissed off about a show being cancelled before so I don't really know how to go about this. If there's already a campaign for Colony, please point me in the right direction. Thanks!

I too, stopped watching Pinky Blinders after the first episode of Season 1 for reason unknown. Then one day out of the blues, I mindlessly clicked on it and restarted watching it. I've been hooked ever since. Superb acting, great directing, strong character development. Plenty of dramas, politics, violence, to give you a better perspective on the life inside a crime family that owned a city. Cillian Murphy is absolutely brilliant. Also, sometimes when you can't get into a series doesn't mean it's bad. You just might not have been in the mood, or that your mind was looking for something else at the time and quite subconsciously decisive about it. So don't just throw it all out yet. Give it some time and then revisit it at a later time when you're relaxed and then you just may pick up on it.

I too, stopped watching Pinky Blinders after the first episode of Season 1 for reason unknown. Then one day out of the blues, I mindlessly clicked on it and restarted watching it. Also, sometimes when you can't get into a series doesn't mean it's bad. You just might not have been in the mood, or that your mind was looking for something else at the time and quite subconsciously decisive about it. So don't just throw it all out yet. Give it some time and then revisit it at a later time when you're relaxed and then you just may pick up on it.

LOVESICK is a really great show from Britain that hss really been overlooked. It feels to me like a thinking person's rom-com where chatacters seem relatable, vunerable, and hilarious. Another great show that seriouly deserves more attention is OCCUPY which comes out of Norway. The premise at first seemed like stretch, but within the first 30 min of the first episode the show takes off and never holds back. The show IMHO becomes more politically relavant with every passing day. And finally RIVER, a British mystery drama, is definitely a Netfix hidden gem. The main character is a detective who may be clinically insane or not. The show leaves you seriouly wondering. The actor who plays the lead is simply amazing to watch.

As with you and Peaky BLinders, I did the same with DEXTER. Iwatched the first few moment and saw him start to drill into the guys head and Idecided Stuff that ... I was told by my uncle to give it a shot and re-watch WHY the guy was on the table. Never looked back since. By far one of my favourite series' WENTWORTH? - LOL thats just an up to date Prisoner Cell Block H. I used to love that too! Bea smith and Vingegar tits, and Mad Lizzy... That woman played the cripple in the original MadMax! Christ I love the old stuff.

Taboo has potential waiting for season 2 especially for lovers of Tom Hardy, his hat does most of the heavy lifting but has potential. Harlots is a great drama it good starts off with music overload but is gripping watch, Black Sails is awesome. It starts off terribly in the first few episodes but toward middle / end of season one gets really good. Plus there are 4 seasons for mega binge and filmed in sunny blue island. OZ for those who like prison dramas. The killing, Ozarks

Nearly everything on this list has a common theme : Dark. Nothing wrong with exploring the dark side of humanity, but does it seem like Netflix churns out an unusually high number of Dark shows to anyone else? I wish Netflix and the other networks would make more shows about hope and noble people solving tough problems with strength and intelligence. I miss Star Trek TNG, DS9 and Voyager like shows. Discovery is not Star Trek as I loved it. I did really like Marvel Netflix.

I love Netflix and most of the shows you mentioned but I do not get the popularity and rave reviews of Black Mirror. Watched all the available episodes and while some were ok, it's boring as hell. Boring, slow, and each episode seems like it's 2 hours long. The most recent season is definitely the best but still suffers from severe self importance. Relax, Black Mirror. Take a chill pill. Have some fun.

Peaky Blinders should be at least as big as TWD, Breaking Bad, The Wire, all of that. Seriously. Watch it. Wentworth is a remake of an old Aussie show called Prisoner in Cellblock H. I'm dating myself, here. The Fall is amazing, as well, but I'm a big X-Phile, so I love Gillian, especially as a cop. She's an ice queen in this, though.

The greatest Netflix show that I've seen so far is called Dark. It's filmed in Germany, and it caught me hard. It's just one season, but it's incredible. Very psychological, when you figure out what's been happening your brain will explode! I think I'm the only who's seen, but Amazing! Everyone is missing out.

I almost gave up on Peaky Blinders, too. I m so glad I didn t! It s one of the best shows on TV. Netflix, needs to buy the rights to Zoo from CBS and keep that show going. Animals turning on humans, crazy scientists trying to end the world, lots of action. I m disappointed that there won t be another season.
