Once i had a super fast internet that had a 0.47 upload... And i signed for them so i needed to have it for 2 years. Always take a test of the internet for a week and if it's good take it. My town just made a 1 gigabit speed server and they said it will be cheap and in 2019 they are going to give it for free to everyone that signed their document. And im really happy cuz i live in croatia and we have small pays. And as i saw in other ads on my tv the gigabit speed is like 1000 kuno and our pays are 6000 kuno who are lucky and 3000 kuno is a normal pay... That means alot of people don't even have a 1000 euro per month cuz 7000 kuno is 1000 euro in our country.

Internet speed can fluctuate so much depending of the Server with who you make the test with. So if I ll try to make a speedtest and automatically the location of the server is a few kilometers away of me, in the same city, it will be 80mb/s. But if I select an international server, or from a different continent, speed is way lower (just a few mb/s). So which is the correct way to test the internet speed then? I pay my internet provider for 10mb/s. If i do an international speed test, its only 5-6 mb/s. But they just come and make a speedtest with a server thats a few kilometers away, and tell me look, you have 80mg/s, such a good speed . totally BS!

I'm located in Malaysia, if I'm use normal browser to test speed on google i could be fails , And my solution is install browser VPN, select USA region and try again to test speed on google and it will be successful, but the problem will come out is about your test speed result . That is not your actual speed from you local ISP to google because you local ISP already through USA first(remember browser VPN you used) before reach google lab speed test.

Someone please chime in: I have Gigabit internet. To test its speed I use various devices. Do these devices need to have a capable network adapter to even receive and show these speeds? In other words, the devices I tested with do not show anywhere near a gigabit. The devices are quite old however (10+ years). If this is correct, how do I test for a gigabit speed?

Your speed is bad? This is mine: 4.53 Mbps download 0.88 Mbps upload Your Internet connection should be able to handle one device at a time streaming a video. If multiple devices are using this connection at the same time, you may run into some slowdowns.

My internet speed is very fast it says. This one shows 100mbps download and 11-12 mbps upload while speedtest.net shows 117mbps download and 11-12 upload. Idk which is more accurate, but my internet seems really good.

Thanks for the video. However, I am not sure which one to test. I get completely different results between google speed test and ookla speed test. Google's speed test is showing only 30% of what ookla shows.

I have 2.92 download and 0.30 upload with an Ethernet cable. I live at 30km from Paris 3km from Disneyland Paris. I download my games at a speed of 600 kbps !!!! 2019 still can't do shit...
