I've been using Blender 3D since 2007, though I haven't done much with Blender's Video Sequence Editor until just a few years ago, but last night I ran into an issue I've never experienced before, for some reason a video that I was editing the video played just as it's supposed to in the previewer, but the rendered video had an issue of the video speeding up and going out of sync with the audio. Both the video and the audio were 30 FPS so that wasn't the issue, I really don't know what the issue was, all I know is the preview played just as it should, but the final rendered video had the issue of the video speeding up to what looked like triple speed, so it fell out of sync instantly. I don't know what caused this issue, the research that I did suggests that it may be how Blender handles it's markers for cuts, but I don't know, all I know is I had this issue and now I have to find a different program to try to re-edit my project with because Blender can't output my project the way it should be output. So be aware that you might run into this issue and that hours of work can be for nothing. As I said, I've never had this issue before, it might be due to a specific codec the source video files were using, but I don't even know what codec they used it's the built-in video recorder in The Sims 4, I had to use it's internal video recorder because OBS's videos ended being too choppy to use, but the videos I've tested using the built-in video recorder in The Sims for made really good video, at least as far as frame rate is concerned (30 FPS, no choppiness) and for some reason Blender seems to have a problem outputting those edited video files.

Dunno if I'll even get a reply, but I've used Davinci Resolve (15 haven't tried 16 yet.) Whenever I would export a video the audio killed my ears when I played it back, it would stutter constantly and make an I dunno if a fuzzy sound is the right word to describe it. Maybe after about 4-5 exports it would be somewhat okay but it would never be perfect. When you're making videos that are maybe 45 minutes to an hour-long it gets frustrating having to spend an hour maybe two exporting the same thing over and over again. Maybe it's my PC though I highly doubt it as I have a high-end machine. So I personally cannot recommend Davinci Resolve. Obviously, other people may have used it and had no problems, but sadly I do. If any of you have had this problem or anything like it and have solved it please let me know what you did.

I am a great grandma, and I was used to windows movie maker that had the ability to narrate videos, then I had to switch to one I found the closest to it which was Movavi, but I have had trouble with it when I went to put it on to my new computer, I have contacted Movavi, but when downloading the program again, it only stays on the screen about 5 seconds. So I need something simple that I can add a picture, put text on the picture and narrate the video, which program would you recommend for me please, thank you

davinci Resolve is aDEMO that strips away every feature most of us need such as greenscreen and almost all effects. It still might be usefull for Youtuber Reviewers that dont need effects. All you guys are stuck on this program that i cant do a thing with. and they dont even tell u before ya waste your time downloadin what ya get which is about the same as Windows Movie Maker

im really missing one feature on every video editor ive had so far, is the feature that the older windows movie maker had, if you have a 1hour long video or not even that, after you import it to the program right click on it and in the box you can select create clips, it breaks that large video file into smaller shorter pieces right there witch is soooooo helpful

maybe it's just me but i don't understand why DaVinci starts at 1:00, and the text input are like making a confusing flowcharts, the tools are so named into something not easy and diffult to find.i had training with DaVinci 5 months ago but because of my job only now that I tried again and to my frustration, I was like, I cannot remember the training I had.

I tried out Openshot but there seems to be an issue with audio during preview screen. Also, after exporting the file audio does not work. I looked online and saw some ways to fix but after applying them it still doesn't work. So I am trying out Microsoft's video editor and it seems ok. But will be trying these other ones as well. Thank you for the video.

Been using movie editors for years. I recently tried DaVinci resolve and for whatever reason videos files did not appear in the media window. I read up on (and watched) several how-to videos; and I tried every method to move the video media files into the program without success. I'm not going to wrestle with a damned program... it either works or not.

I am going to give openshot editor a try. I'm currently using cyberlink power director and it keeps nagging me to update and that costs money. It came with a video capture device I bought. EDIT Open shot did not work for me. I need to change the aspect ratio of a video and it doesn't let me do that easily and the UI is clunky.

I just try downloading dav. Res. It's taken 30 min n not working properly, hang out, stuck. Hit film exp. Not downloading, even a accept cookies. Its wrong idea to do so. Shotcut also not option to edit croup delete so many things not avil. Any other advice. People pls advice me some other software for user friendly. And free.
