t accomplish-it can be an uphill battle. In this workout motivation video I address the issue head on. I show you how I deal with negative people in every walk of life, and even more importantly, show you how you can do the same. People that tell you what is and is not possible for you are almost always the guys that have never accomplished a damn thing in their life. You see, when you are an achiever and you do accomplish tasks that you set out to complete you know very well what can be done. It just takes a lot of hard work to make it happen. Those that try and kill your motivation by telling you -you can-t- are just trying to make themselves feel better about quitting. It-s all very simple really. If you want to be able to do what others cannot tomorrow, you better be willing to do what they won-t today. I-ve lived my life by that motto. Does it suck sometimes? Absolutely. Sacrificing the life or Riley for hard work can be treacherous to some. For me, I-ve actually always enjoyed the challenge. Why would you want everything to be easy in your life? If it was, you would never appreciate the hardship and hard work needed to accomplish something that required it. Bottom line is this, quitters look for excuses and winners don-t believe in them. Was I born with the best genetics? Nope. Not by a long shot. I covered in previous videos how my father was 160 lbs and my mother was 5 feet tall at one hundred and five pounds. Was I the strongest? Nope. But I-ve worked my way up to being able to hang with anyone my size (or even slightly bigger) in the gym. Am I at my best? Are you kidding? I-ve got much work left to do. I-m no Adonis that-s for sure. But that-s ok. It gives me something to shoot for and work towards. Set your goals and fight to get closer to them each and every day-if only by one inch at a time. Before you know it, you-ll be doing things you never thought were in the cards for you. Or at least, not what others told you was supposed to be in the cards for you. Shut those voices out starting now. Get to work. Getting to where you want to be is going to require it, a lot of it. For a complete step by step workout program to keep you motivated by giving you results every step of the way, be sure to head to and get your ATHLEAN-X Training System

It's hard to believe because none of us have been where Jeff is naturally. Personally, I have a poor diet. I only work out 3-4 times a week. My training is awful and lacks structure. BUT, IN THE PAST TWO MONTHS, I HAVE GAINED 5 POUNDS OF MUSCLE! I have been improving my diet and workout structure. I have done better pullups, better leg raises, better ab workouts, better pushups, and better front squats. Jeff is a life changer. Thank you, Jeff. I am better than ever because of you. I just maxed on squat for the first time in two years after a really bad sprain and bad training. I now squat 255 and I weigh 135 pounds. I hope to continue and get at least 300 by the end of the year. My old max was 250 and I was training 5 days a week at school, but I was removed from athletics and continued training at home after I healed. Thanks again, Jeff and everyone involved with Athlean-X.

Hi there Jeff. hi my name is Rene and I had a question. if I only feel tightness on one side of my body even after watching all of your videos on the area strengthening wingscapula the pivotal pelvis sciatica nerve or that might have been another video or all that stuff that intertwine all in together, what would it mean for someone asking this question? everything that I do my whole left side feels tighter and weaker than my right side of my right side is stronger in some areas and some way loose on every joint muscle intertwine tendons ligaments. I'm just been spit bowling a little bit of my symptoms I have noticed and stuff. So maybe if you had any helpful training tips. And after watching your videos have helped me a lot learn about how to improve my weakness areas and help other areas a lot so thanks so much Jeff and Jessie

That's awesome Jeff. Your mindset is what mine has been my entire life as well. The more people in my life that tell me I can't do something makes me that much more determined and the more I work to prove them wrong.
Haters and nay sayers are only motivation for me. So I say. come on haters. let me have it. Give me that motivation. This is a great video Jeff.
I do follow your videos, as they motivate me. Sometimes when I don't feel like working out or going to the gym I will watch a couple of your videos and then I'm fired up and ready to go. I thank you for that!
Let the gains begin brother!

To all those haters. you obviously got no clue! You must all have quit way before finishing even just one of Jeff-s trainings.
Every time I get through one of those 3 months of training everybody can see the changes and I especially can feel them.
But it is as Jeff says almost before every single workout: -The effort you put in, is what you-ll get out. -
Even the best workout in the world(and I-d argue Jeff has got them all) won-t do shit for you, if you don-t bust your ass.
Athlean training for an athlean body!

I don-t have a fast metabolism but i have a good genetics for building muscles and every time i train with guys who have great genetics and i lift more weight and become bigger they accuse me of being on steroids. -
The only diference between me and them is the effort i put i my workouts, they curl and look arround, they don-t focus, they don-t give everything they got on the last two reps. -
Now when i look back. the decades has past and they look the same.
But as you said when they accuse me i take that as a compliment.

Just felt like saying this. If Jeff was truly on steroids, I feel like it would be significantly more noticeable. Jeff is very lean, definitely muscular, but lean. He also has and maintains very low body fat, revealing more muscle making him look like he has more mass than he truly does. Plus the muscles the low body fat reveals pop out more, because he works out everything. If Jeff was on steroids, I truly feel he would have significantly more mass, probably a similar amount to Greg Doucette.

Everyone has told me for years I am on TRT and that they are hitting the gym hard, eating clean and do not look anything like me. When I call them out on it, the result is always the same: too much sugar, too much Bier, and slinging to much weight in their workouts. Jeff is going to get hate mail from people who just won't do the time and invest the hard work.
F um Jeff! Keep doing what you are doing! The rest of us appreciate it!

I follow a number of trainers and you are probably the one I have the most confidence in, not because you are the biggest or even the most muscular, but because of the wealth of knowledge you have. I turned 50 in December and I'm in good shape and pretty lean, though not as lean as you, but I know it can be done with enough know-how and discipline. Keep up the great work!

Started off at 285 last year, worked my ass off and quit like an idiot, a month back in I went from 274 to 252 this morning, I will NEVER quit again, the gym is apart of my life now, thank you Jeff for everything, I dont use your programs but your videos are extremely helpful and I enjoy watching you. Dont stop doing what you're doing man, youre helping a lot of people.

I agree with Jeff. Stating people are on steroids just because they are better than you are is weak. Just do the things others don't. Eat what you need to eat and train when you need to do. I think we all need to get real with who you are, and what you do. Once you get that you will get closer to your aims or be more comfortable with who you are.
