X (See Fast Results) There is no doubt that finding the motivation to workout can be challenging. In fact, it's more than half the battle. If you aren't motivated to workout and can't get going on a fitness routine, you'll never see fast results or any results for that matter. That said, finding workout motivation isn't even the trouble. Keeping the motivation to workout is. In this video I cover some of the biggest reasons why people fall off of their new year's fitness resolutions and how you can prevent this from happening to you. I go over what I call, stipulations. Too often, workout programs require you to jump through too many hoops just to stay with the program. Things like. - Making you workout in a gym when you only want to workout at home. - Requiring too much equipment even when you want to workout in your home gym. - Asking for too much of your time in every workout (60 to 90 minutes is not only not needed, it's overdoing it. - Meal plans that are too complicated to prepare or require lots of money to purchase the foods on it. These are just some of the reasons that we often can't stick to a workout program. In order to find true workout motivation some will turn to workout motivation songs and music. This is awesome and definitely helps. But even the best songs can't play forever. Sooner or later you are going to have to find the internal drive to get your ass to follow that workout program day in and day out. Watch this video and see if you too may have fallen victim to the common fitness motivation pitfalls and then, most importantly, vow to not let that happen to you again. If you want to make 2014 YOUR YEAR, then I would love to be YOUR COACH to make sure you do! Head to and get your ATHLEAN-X Training System. Follow the exact same workout program used by today's top professional athletes to build serious, ripped, athletic muscle!

Just curious, I've been working on my body for a while now but I don't use any food supplements or anything like that. I do have a pretty healthy lifestyle since I soley drink water and I've my vegetables and pieces of fruit every day. On top of that though I still eat -bad- stuff as well which doesn't really seem to affect me(that's the impression I've but that's probably because I'm still quite young and have a pretty good metabolic system.
Now my actual question is without supplements or an adjusted diet is it still possible to gain muscle as effectively as you would with supplements/adjusted diet? I'm aware muscle gain will be slower but I'm ok with that I'm just wondering if what I'm doing right now isn't just useless or not effective enough.

I know this is an old video but I really appreciate Jeff's attitude in these videos. He keeps it real and it's stuff like this that keeps me coming back to my workouts when I hit lows. It's especially hard to stay fit during the coronavirus pandemic with so much time alone and mental health battles, but I'm now 151 punds, the heaviest I've ever been, and I'm extremely proud of my gains. Don't let anything stand in your way to becoming the best version of yourself. And sincerely, thank you for these motivation videos. Sometimes this kind of thing is all it takes to keep me going when I hit those points where I feel like giving up.

Here is something different. My new year resolution is to be fit like lot of others out there. Be in good shape, eat good and feel good. The difference is that I started working on it in October 2013 and not 01/01/2014. For last three months of 2013 I worked on my basics. Tried few things, experiment a little and get my body use to the pain and suffering: ) It is like fueling a jet and on my set date, 01/01/2014, launched it. It is working for me and I am not looking back.
Good Luck.

Thank you Jeff I've been determined as of late to really buckle down and follow all the advice I can get from you I sadly can't afford any of the programs but I looked through all your videos and came up with a diet and a 5 day program all off your free videos and I can say they are the fastest hardest work outs I've ever tried you have really opened a lot of doors for me and you are doing all of us a great service Thank you. Athlean x is very next thing on my to do list!

Here's how I solved the DVD Workout rut in my home gym. Instead of watching a workout DVD, I watch an action-adventure-horror-sci fi DVD scripted with lots of athletic action. Predator & Alien series, Dirty Harry series, Starship Troopers, etc. Whatever has the action to motivate. How can you not workout to your full potential when people are fighting for their lives on the screen? Anyway, it works for me.

Hi Jeff,
Keep up the good work.
I'm a 33 year old listening from the UK and have taken a lot from your videos, having recently been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis I decided to take my training more seriously and have tried to focus on exactly what I'm trying to achieve, your videos / advice have been instrumental.
A few more videos on nutrition would be great!
All the best

Perfectly timed video, Jeff. Have to say I agree with you on stipulations/excuses and I am very guilty of this myself even though you have basically dished everything up for me on a plate with Athlean X. And speaking of plates and dishing things up, nutrition has to be my main focus for 2014 and the challenge of not continually sabotaging myself following a great workout! Happy New Year!
