Cheat Meals - The Hard Truth (YOU-VE BEEN WARNED)

m going to cover the hard truth about cheat meals and give you all the facts so that you can decide for yourself. First, we have to define what a cheat meal actually is. In my opinion we are not talking about foods like steak, pizza, pasta, potatoes, or mint chocolate chip frozen yogurt. Those are actually just foods that are not only part of my recommended meal plan but what I eat in a single day. Instead, I am referring to those foods that are loaded with fats, carbohydrates or calories that are typically served with a death certificate along with a napkin. That said, as long as we are defining these indulgences the same way I would say that you have to ask yourself 4 questions when it comes to deciding how important cheat meals are to you. First, you have to ask if the meal plan you are on right now is making you feel deprived. Most diets and diet plans do exactly that. They revolve around the concept of deprivation. No carbs. No fats. No wheat. While this is something you can likely follow for the short term you will not likely be able to stick to this for any meaningful period of time. If this is you, you might find yourself craving cheat meals. Next, you have to ask what your fitness goals are. I have a brand that I am the face of that I believe I must represent honorably. Because of this, I follow a pretty rigid eating plan. You on the other hand may be perfectly happy having 8 percent body fat and still being able to eat some cheat meals every now and then. It-s totally possible as long as you follow the remainder of the rules I put forth in the video. You also have to determine your level of motivation and how likely you are to not allow a cheat meal to turn into a cheat day and a cheat week. Staying the course long term again is the goal of any nutrition strategy. One that includes cheating or not. At the end of the day, eating the right foods and having good nutrition is important for getting your six pack abs to show year round. You can-t eat unhealthy foods and follow a bad diet and think that you are going to be showing good muscle definition. That said, while this can be the hardest part for many it doesn-t have to be complicated. Excuse my childish account that I made years ago, but serious question here. What do you recommend for a 17-22 year old female who works out 3-4 hours per day and eats between 1000-1200 calories per day and is still not seeing the results she wants?
I personally do about 1 hour and 15 minutes of abs exercises (about 2-3 of your videos, 1-2 pamela reif ab videos, and 100 reps of side plank pulses, rotations (the one where you are in a plank and rotate your waist, pulsing crunches, straight leg crunches (crunches with my legs straight on the floor and only moving the upper body, leg up crunches (legs in a 90 degree angle and crossed over while only pulsing the upper body. 100 with the right leg crossed on top and 100 with the left leg on top, straight leg reverse crunches, and side crunches (laying on my side and only crunching the upper body. Left and right sides, then 1 hour of weight training (Bodypump - Lesmiles, and 1-1. 5 hours of either running/sprinting uphill or elliptical set to 10 (max) elevation and mid (4) resistance (due to my knees.
My diet consists of Nutrisystem, which has helped me get my weight down to 105-106 lbs (48-49kg ish) (5'3-''5'6'') and I stick to it besides a cheat meal once a month or so. By cheat meals, I tend to mean Korean bbq or something protein heavy, only having lots of carbs and sugar during holidays such as Christmas. I have slight definition, but most definitely not clear abs. With my body shape, I do not have natural definition of my waist between my upper body and hips, so I worry that if it isn't clear definition, it will appear like fat.
I have been sticking to this routine for about a year now, although I just recently started doing your work out routines about a week ago, and I am getting discouraged that no matter the work I put into my body, I will not get the results I want (slim and muscular. I have little free time, and the amount of time I have to work out will dwindle now that my work load is increasing, so I can't increase my calorie deficit by dedicating more time to working out.
I also am facing many mental troubles arising in terms of my view point of food. I now see simple snacks such as eggs, nuts, fruits, seaweed, and protein that is not on Nutrisystem as cheating, and I feel intensely guilty for even snacking on them.
This post isn't to brag, and I doubt anyone will really read it or care, but if you have any suggestions to bolster my results that would be greatly appreciated!

Jeff even if youre on a healthy eating plan that is enjoyable and sustainable (for example one that includes all the foods u listed at the beginning of your video ) nothing still beats things like ice cream, french fries, chesseburgers, pizza's etc.
Even if you dont feel deprived on your healthy eating plan you are still gonna want to eat junk food from time to time. Its called being HUMAN!
Nothing is gonna erase the desire for those type of foods. Human beings like junk food. Its just human nature. Why do u think junk food sells? Cos we enjoy eating it
As long as junk food only encompasses 10-20% of ur diet theres no harm eating it. If that means u eat a little bit every day or u have 1 full cheat day per week then fine. Thats perfectly ok
Human beings are not machines!

-Everything in moderation, including moderation- is a good quote for diet.
You want to keep a moderate, balanced diet, but also don-t want to suffer on said diet because you won-t last very long.
However, many people treat a cheat meal like a cheat meal squared.
For example, if you want Burger King as a cheat meal, that-s ok. Order a single cheeseburger and small fries and drink it with water. Many people think that because it-s a cheat meal, they can get anything they want. A single cheeseburger and small fries won-t set you back. A double bacon cheeseburger, large fries, and a milkshake will set you back an entire week.

Today I started a redo of xero week 3. Didn-t qualify on challenge day to move forward. Not surprising, I-m 51. What I will say is that I am eating more good food in larger amounts, I still weigh everything out of habit and keep a journal. My craving for garbage food is almost zero. Adding monk fruit sweetener, and high quality dark chocolate or sugar free chocolate chips to oatmeal or yogurt has been good eats. I bought donuts for the kids Sunday and didn-t want one. That would have never happen if I still was on the clean diet. He-s right people. It-s all about the nutrition.

I define a -cheat- meal / day as something thats calorie dense and nutritionally void. Basically sugar is the big one. So, I try to find healthier alternatives. Like, damn I want some cookies, but maybe instead of buying oreo's I head to the health food area and see what I can find that's similar but better for you. That's just an example, but if I want some oreo's and only oreo's will do I'll allow myself the serving size portioned out on a certain day where I cut calories / carbs elsewhere. Just takes a little planning.

I still cheat almost every day, major sweet tooth, ive just trained my brain to be satisfied with only having 1 cookie. youre eating that cookie for the taste that you crave, not for a nutritional benefit, so dont let yourself succumb to the temptation to keep shoving them down your throat. If youre not strong enough to walk away after one cookie, you cannot eat that shit for a long time or ever.

Been doing a mix of gym strength/cardio p90x/p90x+/p90x3 for months now. I've undergone a significant body transformation, but my weight has plateaued. Can't get rid of the belly.
I've got a good diet.
Salad, quinoa, lean proteins.
Tried weights, HIIT, steady-state cardio.
Belly won't go, can't get past 6 pull ups.
What's going on? How do I get to the next level?

I was like 65kg at about 13 and was about 5'2-. I didnt measure every year but i am now 18 5' 10- and 63 kgs. I really wanted to get abs and i did exercises without any concern for my diet. The abs never did show, but i started to eat healthy about a month ago. My upper abs are visible now and i think diet is really the most important, no matter how much you work out

He's really on to something here. Cheat meals seem to be nessacery for very rigid and restrictive diets. My cheat meals were hurting me because I through the formula out the window (calories in calories out. Which in turn was netting me maintenance calories therfore losing only. 2 pounds of fat one week. I'm going to start factoring this meal into my caloric intake.

Realistically, please feel free to chime in anyone in the comment section, if you are a married man, with a lot of responsibilities, how do you really in corporate this lifestyle. Its hard, its not impossible. There will always be cook out etc. family parties, that serve food. One cheat day ruin one year of diet, work out and cardio. Any hacks?
