That's a very good advice, I'll train lats with posterior pelvic tilt from now on to stretch the iliac crest origin even further away from the insertion. Maybe I'll even tilt back during the concentric and go back and forth to get a little extra stretching and shortening, but maybe alternating pelvic tilts too much will be bad for my lumbar spine, so I'll probalby just stay posterior tilt. I do know posterior tilt flexes the lumbar spines, which makes it more difficult to extend the thoracic spine, so I'll tilt while not compromising my ability the extend my thoracic spine throughout the whole movement.

The problem for me is I only have a basic doorway pull up bar and have no where to put my feet unless they are behind or infront of me with my knees so not much I can do in the way of leg movement but I'm doing my best until the gyms reopen keep up the good work jeff big fan mate

Excellent video and advice. Should all pull-ups (or chin-ups) be done from a 'dead hang' position? I have a pull-up bar at home but the ceiling is too low so my feet are already touching the floor when I grip the bar so I can't dead hang (unless I fold my legs.

I had a door pull up bar for years. Never could hang on with 1 arm very long, maybe a couple seconds. Went to a gym for the first time in 5-6 years. Can hang with 1 hand for a while no problem. Idk if it the leg position or what. But blew my mind.

Thanks for all the great videos. You mentioned the ability to prevent -energy leaks- with legs behind or in front. I only have access to a doorway pull-up bar and want to get the most out of it. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Did pull-ups with knees in front of my body for the first time yesterday and I couldn't get more reps but I woke up this morning with DOMS in my abs. As my abs get stronger I know I'll be able to do more. Thank you Jeff.

Well I knew this but I need to keep USMC form and max out at 3 more reps than what I-m doing now to get a perfect score. So I can-t raise my knees and a hollow core with your feet hanging doesn-t make it any easier.

You made me laugh -- there are a little bit of jokes here. I enjoyed watching this video and I find it helpful. Especially when I saw the skeleton fall off the ground. Oh my God. . Raymond is gone.
