People, please do the research before condemning something you know nothing about. If you have access to the internet, there should be no reason you do not understand Blood flow restriction training.
When doing -bfr- training, the straps should only be about a 6-7/10 when describing how tight they should be on the arms and a 7/10 for leg training. The straps should always be placed PROXIMAL to the joint of the desired muscle being trained.
-Bfr- only restricts VENOUS blood, not ARTERIAL blood flow. For those that are unaware, veins take blood to the heart and arteries take blood from the heart to the rest of the body. That would mean that if you use -bfr- training, it will trap blood in the muscle while still allowing fresh oxygenated blood into the muscle. This creates an unbelievable pump in the muscle being trained and is proven to not only be safe, but very beneficial.
It was first tested by Chinese doctors on patients recovering from various injuries and showed tremendous results in hypertrophy. Reference these studies if you want to see specific statistics. Do not ask me for links to the studies, LOOK THEM UP YOURSELF. Don-t be lazy and do some research for yourselves.

I had this on while doing laundry and forgot my roommate was downstairs. All he could hear was Mike breathing heavily and thought it was gay porn. Lol

Bringing the bar to the chest during lat pulldown increases range of motion by adding more extension through the movement.
