It's always good to admit to your mistakes and enjoy being able to poke a little fun at yourself! Today we look at three time's I messed up ROYALLY on my vegan/plant-based diet and what it means! Nina: Sometimes you buy a product and check the ingredients - Confirm that they are vegan- Fantastic. Might be a month or so when you buy the same exact product from the same store and you find out later that they have changed some of the ingredients! Manufacturers have changed it - they did not mention that there is a NEW RECIPE! and now there are ingredients not highlighted as non-vegan items but still call it Vegan!

This is what irritates me so much about the BS rules they are trying implement in the EU regarding dairy and meat alternatives, the factory farming lobbyests are trying to argue that MILK FREE or PLANT BASED MILK are confusing labels for consumers.
So now you cant call a vegan yougurt vegan yogurt or oat milk oat milk, you have to call it YOFU or some other made up name or oats drink or SILK for soy milk, even doh people have been arguing things like well coconuts dont have boobs but we call it coconut MILK, and peanut butter doesnt have butter?
Meanwhile companies dont have to state in the ingridents list if anything comes from an animal ( like gelatin and glycerin and food colouring ) which is actually harmfull for vegan consumers because its not obvious information.
Sorry for the angry comment loved the vid

Each time I traveled to my home country, I used to buy a vegan dark chocolate with mint filling. The last time when I bought it, just when I was about to eat it, I noticed that it contained milk. I went back to the supermarket with the chocolate and with the ticket and I got refunded. I hate it when they make a vegan product non-vegan. Why did they have to add that tiny amount of milk in it?

I find it difficult to find most things vegan, because I'm also gluten intolerant. So I've always wanted to try Quorn but it has wheat in it. A lot of the Gardein products are good, but have wheat. Morning star brand has veggie bacon, but has egg white and wheat in it.
I did not know that Red 40 and glycerin were from animals. I'm a fake vegan.

The only time I know it happened to me was when I ate some blue cheese that was served with cauliflower wings. The wings were marked as vegan but got served with the blue cheese. Usually I just don't have any of the side dips unless I am in a vegan restaurant but this time I wasn't thinking. Bummer, but I didn't let it bring me down.

My mistake was not my own. I ordered a vegan burtito. Came home and stared to eat. Thought The beans tasted a little weird. Unrolled The burtito and found out it was MEAT in The burrito. I cried and almost puked. They had given me wrong burrito! Felt like I had been raped by The food.

No vegan hasn't accidentally had non vegan food. People make mistakes, restaurants make mistakes. I've been vegan since 2008 and I actually work at Whole Foods and I did the same thing with that almond cheese granted, I don't work in the department that handles it, but still

Just to throw this out there you re either vegan or not (as in you believe in the ethics or not. If you make a mistake, you are still vegan. If you order or grab something purposely because you missed it or wanted it. You re not vegan, plant-based or flexitarian at best

When I first went vegan 3 years ago, I got free Altoids at work and didn't realize they had gelatin in them for 3 months, also at the same time at my other job I got a free tofu stir fry every meal not realizing they put oyster sauce in it. whoops!
