Would you recommend looping a resistance band around a dumbell bar then around a doorway pullup bar as a substitute for a pulldown machine? Also, I do preacher curls with two dumbells and 60 pounds in 5 pound weight disks, one arm at a time. I love how it feels, but I don't know how advised it is. I am between jobs, and even when I was working, couldn't afford a gym membership. So, I made do with what I have. But I'd like to get a pro's advise on those two things.

My coach has me put two 45 plates on and do dips to build arm strength for football. This can be done for 20 reps. It is a good way to build arm strength.

When you said get heavier weight, shouldnt you go with the weight your good with because if its too heavy your form isnt good its gonna be messy
