I train like this every workout I think I may be going a little too hard, considering I'm hitting bodyparts 2x per week. I'm gonna dial it back a bit for the first few weeks of each meso. I find it REALLY hard to not push myself like this though. Leaving reps in the tank feels very hard for me psychologically. I need to just man up and do it, I know it's for the best. Getting really burned out training like this.

Layne and I used to use a Tendo device during training, which tracked the speed of the rep. Once the speed was below a certain speed we knew to stop the set. Velocity based training has some real applications for lifting. You can predict your max's on a given day based on speeds fairly reliably.

If we're going for 0 RIR, do you think it's important to go for the last half-rep (RIP) even if you already know you're at 0 RIR?
IE: If the last two reps are 'the most important' when going to 0 RIR, how much more benefit is gained by going to -0. 5 RIR?

I wonder if simply taking all your exercises to RPE 9-10 is a good form of training. Should be good for strength and keep workout times minimal. Thoughts?

I appreciate the fact that you created a video that demonstrates what an RPE of 9 or 10 really looks like. Now I feel like I don't do enough in the gym

Jeez, the grind shown in the flat dumbbell Press is unreal, this is a zone where most people are not willing to go, congrats!
