The Smartest Way To Build Muscle (Explained In 5 Levels)

Explaining how to gain muscle in 5 levels of increasing complexity Chris: I felt solid in Level 3, particularly in terms of recommending good weightlifting practices and balance among all the variables. Once we got into 4 and 5 though it definitely felt like there's lots of research and interest - but it hasn't led us to better training recommendations or improved ability to identify the sweet spot of training effort, etc.
You touched on the fact that running a marathon does muscle damage, but it doesn't appear to lead to hypertrophy. Yet in distance running training, you are somewhat concerned with leg strength for hills, but it's more about VO2max and other endurance training. As a lifter AND runner I try to strike a balance of strength and hypertrophy along with endurance and circulatory health.

If leucine also triggers mtor but less than weight training. Wouldn't it be plausible that drinking a leucine supplement intraworkout might actually lead to slightly more protein synthesis and hypertrophy?
Drinking aminos tends to be discredited by new age gym bro science as useless since you can just eat proteins directly rather than drinking a supplement.
Perhaps intra workouts are noticeably beneficial after all? Not in terms of workout performance but long term protein synthesis and muscle growth. I mean 4 or 8% increase is still more than welcome when it comes to gains

There is a reason why great bodybuilders do bro-split because it works. Especially with about those satellite cells staying in body for a week. I personally switched to do bro-split and I see gains immediately as my bodypart is still sore after 3 days do prove that I actually need more than 1-2 day to rest the bodypart to work again.
It'snot like your arms don't work in chest & back day
There was another great bodybuildier who had 14 days program which he trained each muscle once in every 2 weeks.

Levels 4 and 5 were the most interesting. Given that we can now manufacture mRNA to instruct the immune system to combat viruses, it seems feasible that at some point we'll be able to manufacture mRNA that will tell the muscles to grow more. Beyond the bodybuilding ramifications, that seems like it would have huge applications in the medical world for injury rehab or fighting the loss of muscle due to disease and/or aging.

The next step it's pretty speculative, but I heard of a scientist who experimented it on himself, looks like this new paradigm could lead us to the holy grail of hypertrophy. He calls it The Mindset and when coupled with black coffee it seems the anabolic response is increased tenfold. Also there is a general consensus the cross section area actually ruptured the skin because it grew too fast.

Absolutely love your content and have been following your full body program for awhile now and have been making some solid strength gains. I was wondering if you have ever heard of the four hour body? I would like to see your view and breakdown of the study because I still can t wrap my head around the progress that was made.

Started at Noob, jumped ahead due to spectacular overconfidence, now lifting dominoes in ProGreSsIVe OvERLoAd to create PrOTeiN SyntHeSIs. Gonna get me some GAINS! And a smol Jeff Nippard branded bag for the dominoes. In all seriousness. this was excellent at every level (even the ones I didn't understand yet)

This was the best video you've ever done Jeff! As a dietetics student I was able to go with you all the way to PRO! Just an extra note, mTOR inhibition has been linked to prolonged longevity in small studies! So Jacked and short life? or non jacked and long life? I'm going with Jacked!

Damn, this was a well made video! I am impressed by the amount of research you did for the final part. I did my honours dissertation on MPS few years back and this video was super comprehensive, I didn t even have that much detail on my literature review. Kudos to you.

As a trainer, I make time to catch up with the literature. Awesome video. You should cover the psychology of training. As I feel general population would hugely benefit from understanding the mental aspect of working out, losing weight, building muscle etc.
