Doing heavy lifting with poor form doesn't mean you won't make gains, noone says you won't make gains lol it's just about optimal lifting, what's the most efficient way. Realistically if you're working hard as hell and take gear like the big guys, you'll get massive. It's just that science based lifting could grab you that extra few %, which matters for everyone, but even more so for the competitive guys who work on fine margins. Watching Samson Dauda training Sam Sulek was interesting, Sam obviously respects the massive dudes like Samson and Samson told him to drop the weights and get the exercise done full ROM and slower eccentric.

Its so refreshing to see these super big dudes actually lifting with good technique. I see so many people argue that you should just go heavy and not worry about the form because thats what big bodybuilders used to do, thats kind of what Sam Sulek does etc. and that science based lifters are always small. It looks like in reality, the biggest bodybuilders are actually lifting with good, science based technique, its just that many science based lifters want to stay natural and therefore dont usually get crazy big like these dudes.

This is a straw man and sour grapes. The dude he's rebutting said that whatever Sulek is doing works for Sulek, because he's obviously huge, and nit picking his form isn't going to make a difference, which is true.
It's like when Dr Mike said Ronnie Coleman's legs would be bigger if he squatted deeper. They might, but a device sensitive enough to detect that difference is hundreds of years away from being developed.
The Jeff is a small nerd part was for clicks.

I wish Jeff showed up to my gym, did his 45 min full body work out for 6 months, I work with forestry and start 7 in the morning, have to train before work, his scheme changed everything for me, now I am home with the my kid for the next 10 month, doing 4 day full body with all the energy I have over based on Jeff's stuff and couple other scientific lifters and I am growing like crazy! Thanks so much Jeff.

I loved that. You could tell she was absolutely locked in for those squats, everything focused and refined and she's just got a killer technique that tells me she's all about a full body performance.
I felt that elation when you said you've got nothing. I didn't feel there was much if anything either. Only personal preferences that are subjective.

I don’t know about you guys but the amount of times I’ve had someone help me with my form because I’m doing it wrong but I’m actually doing the correct method like making 90 degrees for my lateral raise. So end up having to finish the exercise there way like doing the thumbs up and nodding like there so smart cause I don’t want to upset them
reply

I love your content and you are my favourite fitness influencer but there is a lot of people in this video that you gave them advice and they really didn’t need those advice and and you really didn’t have to anything to advice them but I love your videos I am working the most science based I can and you really helping me in this

I like how Jeff understands that personal experience and what works fro you is always what matters the most, along with trying new things and being open to learning. For instance, he understood the World-class powerlifter's reason for not using more leg drive.
Great video, Jeff. Thanks for shutting the haters.

That Manon girl was simply perfect while watching this video I was critiquing what Jeff would say and for her I had nothing to say she checked all the boxes number of sets, training twice a week everything even Jeff didn't had to add to it. I have learnt a lot by watching Jeff, Dr Mike thank you guys
reply

I think they were all so receptive to advice BECAUSE they are top level athletes. They got there by continuously looking for new ways to improve by learning and trying new things. The most ignorant people you will meet are those who feel they have nothing left to learn, and they tend to plateau quicker
reply

Bruh 34 seconds into the video and that bodybuilder just said some important stuff! Ask opinion of both and then TRY IT OUT FOR YOUR SELF, too many people get hung up on what research says or someone bigger than them said and listen to it even if it isn’t the right thing for them! Gold advice
reply

Idk if this is science based lifting at this point. Honestly the dude who made that video criticizing Jeff was an asshole but he’s not wrong. If you’re just gonna say do what you think works that’s not very science-based, if that’s science based lifting than we’re all science based lifters
reply

this comes at the perfect time Jeff. too many people were criticizing your approach to lifting. While I do see their point, I personally lean heavily towards your approach. It's not a one size fits all so I weed out the stuff that doesnt work for me. appreciate your effort.

That gym is so nuts with the number of pros. I would feel so self conscious, surprised Jeff hasn't jumped to the dark side lol. I didn't even realize Hassan was training there now. They also seem to have an abnormal number of tall pros, poor Jeff.

7: 14 Only part of the vid I disagree with, and correct me if I'm wrong, but an enhanced trainee (assuming this 300lb man is not natural) can utilize more protein than a natural lifter, so he should eat more protein to optimize growth
reply

Eiren Gauley seems like a very patient, and slightly shy, dude. Jeff realizing that he's 2x Jeff's mass was classic. I didn't realize how short Jeff is until the little label popped up saying that Eiren was [only] 6'2.

I would enjoy Jeff walking around gyms and helping the typical local gym rat with some form or other advice that I could identify with in my own workouts. Maybe one video folks are working on legs, the next one, abs, etc.
reply

Awesome video! Everyone seemed so genuinely nice and receptive. I feel like, even for someone as smart as you and with your experience, it could be super intimidating to do a video like this. Kudos and thank you!

Try giving science based evidence to woman on growing their gluten. Seen some gym girls at the gym doing hip thrust then take five minute to rest while carrying on a conservation without being winded
