4 Things You're NOT DOING to Build Muscle ft. Mike Thurston Coles dunk progress: Hey, Im 14 and have been lifting for a year and a bit now, and Ive been having trouble building muscle after my newbie gains. In the past 3 or 4 months Ive gained about 1 or 2 pounds of muscle. Ive been eating right and my trainings going good. I can see the gains but my weight stays about the same. Any ideas?

Is it bad to do a different exercise during recovery (for instance doing weighted squats in between bench presses) I am often too impatient to wait for a timed recovery, but want to fit in as many exercises as possible in the time I have--love it when you do collabs, you are my favorite fitness experts on YT; )

Would you say this is a good workout 3x a week: DeadliftSquatFlat bench press with dumbbells Pull-ups Overhead press Ive only been properly heavy lifting for around 2 months and have seen good results, how long should I carry this on for? When should I switch things up?

What I took away from this video is being pastey white wont affect my gains in the gym Matt looks like a floating maroon T-shirt faded into the white couch and kitchen. Sorry couldnt resist jokes. cant wait to get training harder

Couldnt agree more with number 1. Ive done around 6 months of lifting now but unfortunately wasted the first few months losing around with 1012 reps. I finally changed it up to 4-6 reps a few months ago. So much better

What I've asked myself lately: why don't you just always do drop sets to achieve hypertrophy? I know no one does them nonstop but why? At first appearance it would be the safest way to progressive overload.

Hi matt does it make a huge difference of muscle growth with taking 1min/3min/5min rest period between sets because if i were to take 3 or 5mins rest i would get more reps in and better quality reps

When I first started watching this video I thought it was another one of matts 20 minute vids about how youre not building muscle. Well it is However I did get value from this so thanks Matt
