4 Reasons Why You DON'T Have Abs How to get a Six Pack 老外Rafael: What I'm gonna say doesn't neessarily apply to seeing one's abs, but it has a lot to do with aesthetics. Sometimes, a person has good development of the abdominal muscles and also na appropriate level of body fat to make their abs show, but, in spite of that, they have a bloated belly( to a lower or a higher degree. It's easy to spot such a situation because you can see the muscles in their belly( so they have a low enough body fat, but they are somewhat prolapsed. For most people who experience a bloated stomach, the situation comes and goes, so they know when it's like when their belly is flat or close to it. For a long time, I wondered why so many people( including myself) had bloated bellies and I think I found the cause, as well as possible solutions. When the digestive organs become irritated( and this depends on many factors, such as not enough sleep, not enough food, stress, etc, they take in water and swell up. This water isn't really inside the digestive tract; it's actually inside the walls and tissues of the digestive organs. Things that irritate it include bacterial toxins, certain fibers, certain proteins and certain fats, as well as many other things. If the person is stressed in any way( nutritionally, emotionally etc, things that normally wouldn't be a problem now become problematic. These things that are irritating act mainly through certain hormones. These are stress hormones. Things like cortisol, adrenalin, estrogen, adrenocorticotropic hormone, prolactin and. serotonin. Yes, according to studies, serotonin can cause many diseases, especially ones of the digestive tract. A bloated belly would be a sign of high stress hormones, and targeting them would be good to unbloat your belly. You can go about this using only diet changes( a diet that is antiinflamatory and is based on non irritating foods) or you can combine diet with certain substances that lower those hormones.

That's so true. People think having abs is walking around skin tight. When reality is it's more like 13 percent body fat and low carb to drop excess water two days before a photoshoot. I remember I once did a cut and just kept cutting and cutting and cutting was never satisfied with my abs. I'm like they don't look rock hard yet. I was just looking down at myself not in a mirror. In a mirror I was bone shredded never again will I do that. I learned it really is all lighting. If you chasing to physically be able to have bricks as abs good luck. For me I actually managed to do it. I was training abs everyday for a year and doing a 1k sit ups and I actually built abs like Arnold. I literally can be at 20% and still see the out line of the 6 pack. Only thing is when I gain fat and I'm bloated I turn into a bloated pregnant chick with abs. So moral of this story. Abs are nothing more than great lighting. Most people have shit abs anyways because you avoid the heavy weights. When you start squatting and deadlifting over 500 you will build a solid rock hard core. It's just what happens.

Hey so Ive been gaining weight as Ive been very very underweight almost all of my life (im in 9th grade) Ive come a long way, but my problem is, due to my metabolism type most of my fat gets stored in my stomach and thighs, I train my abs every day and right now I am getting them stronger but I always have trouble toning them, I have a very healthy diet, but I dont think trying to lose fat/weight makes sense in my situation because I believe I do need more fat on some areas in my body (like forearms) any suggestions or advice?

I would disagree that skipping ab training on a bulk would mean you'd have NO ab development after 5 years of bulking. While certainly ab growth wouldn't be maximized without direct training in a bulk, they can still develop in size over the years just from bracing for heavy compounds (especially squats and deads. Again I agree this isn't an optimal stimulus, but you can still have decent ab development without direct work

I don't normally like a lot of videos, but this is one of the few that I actually clicked the thumbs up button. I really needed the reinforcement from this video because my abs are something I overthink about. I have a lot of self doubt sometimes if I'm doing the exercises efficiently or if I'm even doing the right ones. Thanks for this awesome video Matt.

Good video Matt, but you didnt address skinny people, what happens if your skinny but still dont have any abs showing? I mean I dont have a big tummy its been pretty flat for my whole life, but I still dont see any, only the very top I can see. What does a skinny person do? We cant cut/diet because we dont want to lose overall weight?

I was actually wondering and have been wondering this for a while. when trying to lose weight, do macronutrients matter as long as you are in a caloric deficit? so lets say i am eating at a deficit everyday but my carb and fat content is pretty high, will i still be losing weight?

I got dunk tanked at 15. 7% and no abs are visible. I feel like most women have abs at this bodyfat percentage. I train abs 2 days a week and can do a plank with 180 lbs on my back. Can anyone tell me what kind of sin I had to commit in a past life to have such shitty genetics?
