Why Most Hardgainers Fail to Build Muscle Matthew: hey man! I love your videos, so motivational and genuine. Im a true hardgainer, 6ft 3in started at 165pounds and am now sitting at 187. I can definitely see a decent amount of muscle that I have put on and not so much fat. It is seriously starting to bum me out that I still don't have a line down the centre of my chest such as yourself, what is THE best way to achieve this man? I was doing a lot of bench press and not enough flys for the majority of my 4 months of training, its only been in the last 6 weeks that Ive really been hitting all sorts of db flys and cable flys, any other good suggestions though? thanks man

Great video as always Alain! I thought your emphasis on a specific 'why' is a great motivator and your personal one was a terrific example.
I've been trying to hit my inner chest the past couple of weeks (also have pectus excavatum) with close grip push up bars. Is this a good exercise routine to use for building my inner pectorals (only have home gym? Also, would you recommend high volume explosive reps or fewer slower controlled reps in my sets?
Thanks man and keep up the good work!

You're amazing! I get motivated every time I see your videos! I get demotivated every time when I 'try' to restart my journey cuz when im 2-3 weeks in. i start feeling like all the hate people give me for being skinny is just not worth so much hardwork and that i should accept myself as i am. but then I don't want that either. how do I get out of this cycle? :(

Very true stuff, my why was also that people didn't talk to me like i mattered. I was the shortest in my class, maybe even the thinnest and people would always talk down to me (literally. I didn't feel masculine. But here i am 3 years later and 20 kilograms heavier, and i feel great.

I have a question, your workout plan tells me to do 4 sets of 12 reps with an RPE 8, should I use a weight I can do 14 reps to failure and hit 12 reps or a weight I can do 12 reps till failure and hit 10 reps. please reply. this has been making me confused for a long time

Can you provide tips on foods? I noticed you said to eat 5-6 times a day, that can be very expensive. Where do people get money from to eat all that food? And too afford the supplements including the shakes and pills?

Everything this guy says in this video is 100% absolutely true. Especially about having a strong -why? - That's what keeps us going, keeps us motivated, keeps us from giving in.
