Great video! As a fat kid that trained hard over the years to get over the mental challenges of being chubby I went all in from my mid-teens to recently. Went from bulk --> cut --> shredded. During my mid 30's lean and then went completely shredded (6-9% BF which fluctuated) at 40 y/o as it seemed like the natural progression and yes the 'very rare' instance where I would have my shirt off to show the shredded physique it was very satisfying yet it began to quickly to have diminishing gains. Spending all my free time working out and monitoring diet was counter-productive to the rest of my life. As I was 42 to 45 at my peak physique this also was not beneficial due to lowered testosterone (requiring more efforts to maintain - now I'm 47 lean and purposely put on more bulk and loosened up on being super strict on my diet) and inhibiting my ability to think clearly consistently due to low calorie intake which resulted in dizziness and clouded thinking which although manageable was unbearable and unpleasant (also my buddies in the same situation had penile erectile disfunction issues due to being too lean, thank God I didn't have that came close though. Additionally, in real life out with a life you have to constantly mentally do gymnastics to calculate intake/output when going out with friends/social interactions which hampers and diminishing social benefits. Also, when you feel great and your face is very lean, you are vascular but you also look starved and people are intimidated to spend time with you as they 'assume' correctly that you cannot go enjoy a 'normal' meal or gathering with them which is true. Clothing also does make you look smaller even with a v-taper as he mentions in video, all your hard work gains for muscle don't show and the laughable 'do you even lift? ' comment is so true, they can tell you're in great shape but it doesn't show, as size and leaness is a fine balance. most importantly sustainability is the key, in my 20's to mid 40's it is a lifestyle that could have been much more flexible and enjoyable (you only have one life - all of it in a gym is detrimental unless you make your living from your body, otherwise it's not a viable trade off as to maintain that body comes with sacrifices in every way. As he says 10-12% great workouts, I felt great, results showed in clothing and sustainable lifestyle and people didn't ask me if I was starving or dying (had illness) and when asked why do I need to be so lean besides saying 'I want to be the best me I can be' I had no reasonable answer. kudos! I hope people who are younger do not 'believe the hype' to go with extremes as unless you do it for career purposes (professional athlete/model etc) there is no reason to do so. Listen to this man!

You inspired me bro. I-ve been really skinny all my life. Jan1st, 2019 I weighed 107. Now March1st and I-m at 120. I-ve been drinking ON Serious Mass in the mornings and late night after workout and before bed on top of all the cooked chicken and potatoes and other things that I prep on Sunday. I-ve been working out 3x a week doing the big 6 and I couldn-t believe how well it was going. I know it-ll slow down after a bit, but I-m really just hoping to hit a goal of 160. It-s been pretty tough, but also simple like you said. I love your videos man thank you

I had the same issue. i started my bulk at 8 percent. My family thought i had body dismorphia. now i eat a slight surplus and took up weights 3 times a week and put on 10lbs now im at 10 to 12 percent still small but as long as i keep adding and stay between 10 and 12 im good and plus i feel better now still have the jawline at 12 percent but abs are not as visible as they were at 8 to 9. just saying but im still pretty vascular

Hey my bro. I take lean. I have cut and I look gr8 but like u said skinny with my cloths on and that was at 176lbs 6' tall. Now I'm at about 12% 205lbs muscle. It took it's time but worth it. -

This is only my experience with being lean vs being shredded. What's your experience? Any pros and/or cons that I missed for being shredded? Let me know!

I'm 5'6 weigh 111lbs. I've always looked toned. Never really shredded. I've also hardly ever worked out. I'm also a type 1 diabetic and can't gain an ounce.

The Agoge Diet is truly something else, do not know why, but somehow it worked better than anything else I tried for building muscle.
