I am training to be able to hold my breath for long periods of time. I got a local bath house with a 4 meter deep pool that i like to dive in: )
I watch videos online to learn how to hold my breath longer, and i picked up a few things.
Right now i try to practice each day. How many times per day can hold my breath for long periods of time (realy pushing my self? Like 8-10 times or so?
I combine your breathing technique with holding my breath for as long as i can, while sitting still or walking around.
Do i need to rest like any other athlete? Like train one day and rest the next day?
I walk around while holding my breath to train my body to get used to the co2 build up.
Do you have tips on a training schedule i can use, based on the training methods i use?

NEVER EVER HOLD YOUR BREATH ALONE IN THE WATER!
It's the build up of carbon dioxide in your blood that makes you want to breath. Not in your lungs.
An if you want to hold your breath for a long time you don't need to be in the water all the time. Try to hold your breath in the bed right after you wake up in the morning.
No food processing and a low pulse will make your breath holding longer.
I have seen a lot of people black out in the water so. NEVER EVER HOLD YOUR BREATH ALONE IN THE WATER! Always have a buddy who knows what to do right beside you when you breath hold.

I can hold my my breath for 2 minutes while i do the pyramid and fight against the co2 when i am down on the 10 second and 20 second breathing. On the last breath hold i can still hold my breath up 3 minutes and i feel like i can hold for a bit longer. The only thing that bothers me is that when i breath deep for a long time and then hold my breath, i get dizzy/light-headed for a few seconds.

I like following this toturial but I always have the thought in mind that I may hyperventilate with a mistake and stresses me up. is there any way to know if u have hyperventilated or should you based on feeling go up for a breath?

I see that when you dive, you immediately breathe out through your nose once you go underwater. Is that helpful in being able to swim underwater for longer times and distances?

I tried your technic. After simple relaxed breathing my Max time was 2: 30. After the pyramid technic my Max time without take a breath was 3: 11. That was my first try: )

well i do 15sec of 2: 30- 3 min each time. Instead the only pyramid is my sets were from 2: 30 i go to 3: 00 and then back and up again
