I don't recall anything special about Bigfoot Rapids when I rode it about a year ago. This upgrade looks absolutely amazing. It's not the greatest thing ever, but it's much more effort than I'd ever expect from Cedar Fair when it comes to theming, and it actually makes me want to go back and ride it. I just hope they'll carry on keeping the theming well maintained and not letting it die away. I think the animatronics enhance the experience pretty well, but it's mostly the physical props that do it for me. As nice as the rocks and hills are, they aren't really unique to this rapids. This new theme they're going with may be a little bizarre and all over the place, but I'm so glad to see Cedar Fair putting theming back into the park, considering most of their additions have created a painful divide between the front and back halves of the park, as well as mucking up the front entrance area.

This is really awesome Even though Big Foot may have been slightly not what I expected. This is a great addition to the ride. On a side note, please can we finally jump back on Knott's Bear-y Tales. I'd love to see a modern update to the concept and blacklight world of that ride haha. Its finally time and I think the 100th anniversary of the park begs it to be one of the starring additions for 2020.

Hold uppppp. thats it like. so hyped about this. honestly its not much of a tranformation and i know it cost money but go big or go home. Thats was a tiny sasquach, too. They made it seem like they were going to do something amazing. There was no splashing or it didnt seem like you would get that wet. Maybe a sensor waterfall into the cave. Kinda disappointed here.

The animals and scenery look really good. Bigfoot seems a little underwhelming, but could be better in person. What I'm wondering is, where are the drops? Are there no drops in this ride? I guess I'm used to Grizzly River Run at California Adventure (which could use some animals like this)

I think what everybody else think. adding Bigfoot was a nice idea Not pointin' any fingers, it could have been done better. How about no Bigfoot this time, next time, do the whole thing right add fur to the animatronics and then we go full regalia

I miss the giant waterfall at the end of the ride. That was always the best part of the ride because you were always anticipating it and hoping you werent the one to be directly under it. It also needs some music. Other than that its an improvement.

That was weak Did they take away the waterfall u go under or was it just not running cuz it's not hot enough? I used to always look forward to getting soaked by the waterfall. but then again that was in the 90's the last time I've been there

What other rides do you think could benefit from an upgrade? I was thinking the train ride good use some show scenes similar to the one at Disneyland. Maybe a tunnel and a homage to Knott's Berry Tales and Kingdom Of The Dinosaurs.

As talented as Garner Holt has been (they made the current fantasmic dragon among many other animatronics) that bigfoot was super disappointing This is like Sally corp quality. Makes you think if there were budget cuts or something.
