The TRUTH is finally coming out about WHY the Disney Star Wars movies are so BAD. Turns out Disney does NOT have full ownership of Star Wars. George Lucas has a clause in the sale giving him royalties every time Disney uses old characters. After they bought it Disney decided to put a high priority on eliminating the old stuff in order to save money. So basically Disney is giving us an imitation Star Wars. thinking that people will accept it. Ever wonder WHY we didn't see a reunion of Luke, Leia and Han? Or why Luke was killed in the middle of the trilogy? Don't get me wrong. There are other reasons, such as bad writing, why this sequel trilogy is so bad. But this new information coming out is really sickening.

Next time I go to Disneyland I'll try it out but just once to say I did it. I'm not a big fan of Star Tours and this is just the same thing. I hope that other ride is better. All the people walking around dressed up don't do much for me. I heard the food is good so I am looking forward to that. I'm not buying any stuff from this area. I have to say I'm not impressed by this addition to Disneyland. For some reason I don't think this attraction is going to have a 50+ year life like the Haunted Mansion. I think Disney would have been more successful if the had explained Fantasyland in this area, put in a Winnie the Pooh 100 acre land or Frozen land instead.

What they should have done is, depending on how well the mash the buttons at the right time, the on screen story progression can go in at least two ways, mission succes or failure, if successfull the 6 visitors will be greating by Rebels when the ride ends and they get a bonus ride each as a pilot, in a X-wing ride. If mission is a failure, then they will be arrested and detained by stormtroopers, and they will then get the experience of an Cell block escape scenario etc. Anyway that's how I would make the ride

Everyone complaining about looking away from the ride are missing the point of Disney attractions. The ride aims to immerse you, don't don't necessarily have to be looking at the screen for a sensation of full immersion. If anything the buttons help distract from the lack of depth (2d projection) and fidelity of the main screen and may have been an intentional design decision. I actually hope Disney continues to experiment with interactive experiences.

I've got to say i am not a fan of these simulator rides. I went on the original back to the future ride and was blown away by it until i understood how it worked. I then thought so i'm not really riding anything and the whole thing is an illusion. Those who say well that's what a simulator is back in the day it was the first one along with Star Tours. I am not queuing for 3 hours to sit on some simulator and i am a huge Star Wars fan.

It is really funny, but the scenery designs of the current Star Wars are, forgive my expression, bland & slum like. The outside of the Tatooine experience is horrible. I like it if they could change it to a much preferred setting like that of Canto Bight. I know it is a casino, but it is fabulous & terrific. Or, if not Canto Bight, settings around Coruscant & Naboo would be preferred.

Let me get this straight? What is the difference between this and Star Tours? What exactly have they provided as a new experience? Once again its the same exact ride they already had just repackaged. They charge you so much money that you have to get a loan just to get inside the park and then expect you to be happy with basically repackaged laziness and lack of creativity.

This ride looks. anxiety inducing. and not in a fun way. So many confusing directions and so little payoff, and for what? All of this emphasis on interactivity and it just feels like some game I can play on my phone, and not even a good one. Remember when there were actual RIDES?

I remember Sega World had a ride like this back in the 90's (a space fighter game with Michael Jackson, only there the controls were positioned so you could press buttons and still look at the screen, and how well you did actually affected the game's overall flow.
