Blake and Danny try to redeem themselves after failing to complete Buckskin Gulch the first time around. 27 miles of hiking and 15 miles of biking all in one day. Has the duo bitten off more than they can chew? Or does their capacity for adventure equal the size of Steven Tylers mouth? Watch and see or if your blind have a friend watch and describe what he's seeing. Better yet, turn off this video and get outside, enjoy some fresh air, have an adventure. Wait no, leave the video on I need all the views I can get. Want to hike Buckskin? Here are some helpful links

I just posted my buckskin gulch video, and yours came up as a suggested video. Like your video, great story, but you should do the gulch in the day sometime. The way the light comes through the slots is just amazing. When we did it we went the opposite direction as you and ended up going up the paria river in the dark.

Most disorganized hike ever. That was the Paria confluence. There's only junction with another river in the whole Buckskin. The first one is with Wire pass trail but that's not a river. Get your info right before you set off next time. You risk your lives or someone else's.

Definitely cant trust the distances on signs or maps. Estimate an extra 1. 5 miles for every 5 miles and it will come out about right. Ive finished long runs in the dark a few times with unhappy trail mates that dont like adventures and this looked real familiar

I have to say you guys are idiots for going through Buckskin at night. Also, not using hiking poles, you don't have any idea how deep the water crossings are. If it had rained, you would have had no visual clue where to get to safety during a flash flood.

When I did the Paria back in about 2014 I was naked on tiptoes with my pack above my head at one point. It was early December. Very memorable. Also worth mentioning the campground at the trailhead is really cool. Really enjoying your reports!

catching up on all your videos and you guys are incredible. So, the best part of the canyon you guys did in the dark, I sure hope you went back and experienced it in daylight another time! Buckskin Gulch is one of my favorite all time hikes.

. .. but, you know. .. what do you do? I'll tell you what you do. You don't hit the trail head of a 27 mile hike at 11: 30 in the morning. Glad you guys didn't die. Keep blazin trails, my friends.

Question- I hiked for the first time last month in Buckskin Gulch- what trailhead did you exit the gulch to get your bike? I was trying to figure this out as I watched your video - which I love!
reply

Certainly a classic hike. I had thought most do it the other way around starting in the northern part of Buckskin, but with the bike ride back, you left your bikes in the right place.

You guys got bigger balls than I! I wouldn't try for Buckskin Gulch in a day. with a 15-mile bike ride afterward! I would've stashed camping gear along with that bike.

i have watched so many of these and not realised that Danny does the music. I like the Vanegellis-esque music at the end of this one.

I forgot about your majestic long hair days. Wouldn't complain if you brought that back. Great video all these years later.

Hilarious. at the beginning I was thinking how do you find the camera people that can actually keep up with you guys

I've done Buckskin 7 times mow and these conditions look perfect! What time of year was this? Late March?
