Do you have a hard time imagining what it would be like to wake up next to me? On Mediocre Amateur you get to wake up next to me almost every video and it can be rough! Death Valley is rough so you can imagine the morning after. In this Vid I hit some of the hot spots like Golden Canyon, Zabriske point area, Desolation canyon and a random ridge travers that I completely underestimated. I had a hard time finding a way day and I would have cried but I couldn't spare the moisture. So instead I stumbled around precariously in a dehydrated haze and somehow ended up at the car

Danny do you have trail runners that you recommend? Ones that you've bought multiple times because they are great? I had to hike 26 miles in my Asolo GTX 95 boots last weekend because my normal low hikers decided to crease in a different spot causing a nice bone bruise on the top of my foot after a 32-mile training hike. Anyways, I'm in the market for some trail runners and can't imagine any tougher critic. Thanks for the awesome videos!

That look of gratitude and exhaustion mixed at 8: 18 is a familiar look I have after big outings. About the only thing that could have made this traverse worse (besides having to back track) would have been getting an unwelcomed surprised by a rattlesnake. Cheers to those tough days in the mountains.

Some videos I laugh. Hard.
This one worried me from the beginning when I saw the modest amount of water in your pack. I had to tell myself this is an old episode, so we know it will end ok. This episode I was at the opposite end of laughter. Worried. Really. Worried.

Im an experienced ultra runner, climber, mountaineer. How would you classify this and a bunch of climbs that you? I I do a ton of climbs regularly similar to this and when I watch your videos im like wow there is no room for error certainly lucky quite often

Yeah, it's all very crumbly. But not like sand or dirt. It's like ground or chunky concrete. Man, I give you credit. That's an unbelievably tough run/hike. It's rough land, but one of my favorite places on earth.

That last bit really envisions how a lot of people end up dying out there. Great video man! Turn around if you have to. Dont end up one of those people who waits until its 1 step to late

Death Valley EARNED its moniker. better done slowly with a good geology book and more water than you probably need. The guts of the Earth are right out there in the open. Yay

I know water is a lot of extra weight and I know you vomit a lot. But you gotta take water bro. Unless you have a death wish. You cant get lucky all the time.

Death Valley is a wintertime spot only for hiking. Did you not take enough water? That could have needed badly.
But I do enjoy all your videos. Careful out there.

Will you guys consider making much longer videos? Leave the gopro running, unedit of you hiking for awhile.
I don't think I'm alone in wanting 20+ minute videos

Why do you wear the knee socks? Are they compression socks? Or do you just like to wear shorts, and then the socks protect your legs from getting scratched up. ?

Can't believe you did that while holding a camera. That terrain is so crumbly you were truly lucky not to suffer a serious fall. Nice video!

Let me know what shoe company and gloves you use so I can quickly go out and buy a ton of stock. I just saw a new sport. rock surfing.

Went to Death Valley a few years back in October. Left Vegas around 70 deg. got to Death Valley almost 100 deg. Crazy.

mouth breathing will dehydrate you faster as only the nose can control humidity but not when the mouth is open.
