I think this is what happened here:
Danny thought that the content might be little meh, vibes of just another heli-skiing video. He looked at the group and said, I need a volunteer to jump out of the heli 40 feet up and then we film a cool rescue. One of the base jumpers probably went Sure son, that sounds like the shit. here, hold my phone
Win / Win. Danny gets some spicy content and the base jumper gets his gravity fix without dying.

Have you heard of Telescope Peak in Death Valley NP? Its the tallest peak in the park and it is climbable from Badwater Bason/Lake Manly, which is the lowest point in the USA 11k up. I have planned the route twice but always had to scrape it due to weather in the area while I was in Death Valley

2: 30 Does this type of hovering have some special name? I am always curious how a pilot can know in advance that he has enough gap between the main rotor and the slope surface which is used as pivot point, hovering in this way.

Random question: What are the crampons that they wear on their running shoes in past episodes? My microspikes just weren't cutting it up the bowl on Mt Baldy here in socal and really need to upgrade. Thanks!

Where's the suffering? It doesn't feel right to watch one of your vids without someone hating life. Apparently, I enjoy your pain.

Great video. For April fools they should summit the most treacherous peak in the US: Florida's highest point.
