Switzerland has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world! I recently returned from a week in the beautiful country and I want to show you my favorite places. I started the journey in Appenzell, then headed over to the beautiful Jungfrau region, after we visit the beautiful areas of west and south Switzerland! Peter: In Switzerland, health insurance is mandatory. That means every Swiss people is insured for health issues. The idea is great, but the execution is not great at all.
First of all, it is incredibly expensive. I am using the highest deductible (2500 CHF) and I am paying 235 CHF per month for my insurance. If something happens, each year, I still have to pay the first 2500 CHF. In the last 5 years, I have never got anything from my insurance. I paid 10 000 CHF of insurance and about 4000 CHF in health fees.

I hate the Swiss Public Transportation system. I did not realize this until I went to other countries. It is not the worse quality for sure. But the price is insane. It is not public transportation, it is rich transportation.
To go from my home to the city center, it cost 7. 60 CHF. It is only a 20 minutes trip. And if I want to go back, I have to pay it again. No return ticket Come on! Trains are even more expensive. A return ticket from my city (Fribourg) cost 84 CHF! That is one hour and a half train. If you do not have an all-inclusive subscription, it is always better to take your car.

Hi Ryan. I first visited Switzerland when I was 20 - over 45 years ago. I just stumbled onto your video and just love it, because you have sincerely captured the enthusiasm I felt in my heart on my first visit. I wish you continued excitement in your travel adventures, and thank you for reminding me of my own past through your awesome video.

Women in Switzerland had fought for equal rights for 100 years. Despite the tradition of direct democracy, women were only granted the right to vote in national elections in 1971 (66% of men voted yes at the time. It took another 20 years until the last canton, Appenzell Innerrhoden, extended local voting rights to women.

The amount of swiss people complaining about mispronunciation is too damn high. We speak 3 (4) languages and a lot of us can't even understand people in the same country. So feel free to pronounce things as you wish. Im glad you enjoyed these places and you took some awesome shots. I'd like to see more.

In 2017, Switzerland took the 3rd place in the rating of the countries which actively fight bribery. What's curious is that Switzerland decided to make bribery legal in a form of payment for a specific service. They thought that it would be more effective than fighting bribery.

Ryan don t worry about pronunciations. Would like to see some of my fellow swiss try their pronunciations in other countries where they don t speak the language. Bravo to you for trying and being adventurous to get out and travel the world!

We love Switzerland. Unfortunately, when we were there it was so foggy we didn't take the gondola because there were no views of the Matterhorn. We plan on going again and hopefully the weather will be better.

Nice videos but please next time look up the pronunciation of the places you visit. It's really annoying to listen to for someone who speaks the language.
