Hey, I speak Spanish pretty well. Learning Deutsch right now before I travel there for a month, but that aside, as a Portuguese speaker, can you understand Spanish pretty well or do you know Spanish? What I guess I'm really asking is can somebody who speaks Spanish understand most Poruguese pretty well without much learning of that language? I would like to know so I can plan out some future trips to Europe. Thanks!

I found (before i learned portuguese) that with my spanish i could read portuguese pretty well and could understand some things too. but the reading thing is very similar. I would not be too worried if i were you.
