Thank you for these videos Prof. Wolter. Your videos make me eager to travel. I am starting college this upcoming year and I know what professor I want if I plan to take a business course abroad! I do have a question though. Does the languages you speak dictate where you work or does the country you plan on working in dictate the languages you learn? So otherwise, do you go into a new country with basic knowledge of the language or do go somewhere that speaks a language you already know? Thanks!

I love the food in Asian countries (I've visited Japan and S. Korea so far. It's so much healthier and more interesting than most western food in general. But there's always western foods, like good cheeses, burgers, and fries that I really miss after a week or two there. Whenever I arrive back in America after visiting an Asian country, I make sure for a big cheeseburger to be my first meal. :)

I have a Scandinavia video coming out next month that will give you some heads up. The Nordic countries are relatively accepting so you should be OK. and there are tons of Asian tourists visiting Scandinavia these days, it is kind of like a hub for far east Asian flights (Beijing, Xi'an, Tokyo, Seoul, etc) so you should be fine. thanks for watching and commenting!

Ha, I'm from China but now studying in the US. Do you get stared at a lot by locals b/c u are white? I hear lots of westerners are very annoyed with that. I actually feel it's easier for foreigners to blend in America(even though I'm the only Asian in class) b/c Americans are more used to diversity.

Lol. Only a white guy would say studying in Asia is full of free time. Although from my observation of foreign exchange students here in California, I get the impression that the whole study abroad thing is a global codename for 6-month vacation.

I have heard some good things. you need to get out of the cities into the country and it is supposed to be very nice. I may be working in Taiwan for a couple weeks next summer so hopefully then I can tell you a bit more about it: )

Asian languages are easier to learn because of grammar and less homework than in the US? LOL I studied in the US and South Korea so I can tell you, you should change your title Study Abroad in Asia to Study Abroad in China.

A lot less homework? I don't know what kind of school you are teaching? But for middle schools and high schools, that's certainly not the case, especially high school students in China, they get tons of homework.

You are probably talking about the Chinese language.
Korean and Japanese grammar is BY FAR the hardest one for westereners.
