Ohhhh dear me yes give the sensitive westerners a heads up. And bargaining well bargaining is common and it was the first way things were sold in the olden days throughout the world and as for aggressive haggling Chinese are not intimidating but yes westerners get taken advantage of becuase we have an open soft dissposition and are transparent so vendors take pot shots at them and they just give in to the price due to kindness hahahahaha. And as for spitting listen my mates in the UK spit depends on which neighbourhood you go to, Chinese are nonchalant not aware of their spitting it is a sense of being natural just like burping, it is a cultural difference which is bad I agreee but I would rather see someone spitting than trying to rob me.

I absolutely love China! All of your points are very valid; however, all of the negatives are fairly insignificant. You don't really realize the amount of people in China, at least I didn't. Though many people speak English very poorly or not at all, practically everyone under 30 can speak English. Lack of Chinese isn't a serious hindrance in major cities since non-native speakers can still get around as most sign and menus are also in English. Also, people from China are more than willing to help. When I last went to China a friend of my friend, whom I hardly knew, took me around Beijing for over two days. Not to mention the food is dynamite and the culture is magnificent!

While I was in China, the pollution was actually pretty amazing. I have asthma and was expecting to be miserable but it was completely fine. And I actually really didn't mind the squat toilets. It was nice that you didn't actually have to put your ass on a toilet that countless other people sat on. In all, China was an amazing experience and I would really love to go back someday

Away from the main tourist places it's a filthy insanitary country. Many restaurants will have
signs at the door saying no tourists. It's not a country I have any wish to visit.
Look at the Youtube videos by Serpentza.

Just a correction: - You do not need to learn a little bit of CHINESE! Because there is no CHINESE as a LANGUAGE. Chinese is a nationality. You actually need is to learn a little bit of MANDARIN (the language of mainland China.

The Chinese are friendly? I don't really think so. Some of them maybe polite and friendly, but many of them seem rude. Like sometimes they might take a photo with you without even asking for permission like they know you.

Your videos are rubbish, completely uninformative, and totally useless. As a typical American, you spent a short time in a foreign culture, assume you learned about it, but in fact learned next to nothing. Have a nice day.

This video was made in 2013. There have been many many changes during the past 5 years. China is even more exciting than how it was like when you were there. Probably you would want to visit it again.
