I usually drink water or juice not a fan of beer and wine. I am planning south Carolina for later in the year Charleston, and once I go to Europe two more times I plan washington dc.
At the time, my had 2 bypass heart surgeries three years before Hawaii. I did have a friend in high school who had to had a surgery b/c of a hole in her heart, it must be rough. in paris my French plan actually charged for water no free water! so I got water later.

I have met a couple people that were in st Petersburg, Russia and they drank the tapwater there and that is bad news. I have no idea how they did not know that you cant drink the water there but they did and they had a nasty nasty parasite for quite a long time. It is not fun. one friend ended up getting malaria when she was backpacking through Africa. I just broke some bones so nothing like that.

I went to Hawaii with my parents when I was a teenager and I remember had at airport my dad had chest pains b/c having clogged up arties. So basically he would just sit and read at the pool he couldn't do things like climb the great wall of china for ex. But honestly even if you are healthy all the walking wears you out as well. Mark you sounds like you love your work.

BE AWARE: Most travel insurance excludes existing conditions; some will not exclude if you've been stable and no RX changes for a long time. Get it anyway. I talked to my pharmacist and he specially packaged my meds to minimize the bulk, with a few days advance notice. I found a CPAP that weighs under 500 grams and fits in my palm.

With the scooter it will work in some places and others not because of cobble stones and such. I have a couple videos on visiting Europe with limited mobility that may give you some more ideas. But when you are booking tickets I would talk with an airline rep to see what their policies are with scooters.

I can see that you are love what you do. unfortunately my dad was overweight from smoking and overeating. Hawaii was a rough flight to deal with, my ears really hurt coming down. I will eventually plan aruba and cayman islands b/c the flight is shorter.

I have some questions, what happens if the prescriptions are not written in english? And what happens if the medication is not worldwide known or the brands are from the traveller's home country? (Like latin american or asian perhaps?

I do love helping people travel and have a better experience abroad. I hope your dad was OK. And yes the walking will wear you out. I had to carry our two year old up the wall and I was done when we got to the top: ) all the best!
