I just like to suggest one (for me strange) place to visit. Just north of Copenhagen is an open air art museum called: Louisiana. Yes really. Now, I am not an 'artsy' person and I am absolutely not into modern art, but I LOVE Louisiana. It's a park along the sea front with sculptures, and even if some are trying to make some kind of important point, I swear some artist are putting up sculptures just for a laugh. OK, It might be difficult to squeeze in on a long weekend, but if you have an extra day in Copenhagen you really MUST go. It will be the only museum of modern art that your children love! I know a family from Odense who's children prefeer Louisiana (in Spring and summer) to Tivoli, and THAT is hard to believe if you have children. Go go go!

Does the service industry work for a living, or, do they get income from somewhere else and the servers can afford to be nasty? In my city of New Orleans known for superb cuisine, if a server had an attitude, he would be fired on the spot. That is because N. Orleans rely on its business for its charm, hospitality and famous cuisine and if the workers don't cooperate, it would ruin it for the industry. Actually servers are sent to another state to be trained, so they can learn to pour the wine, answer questions, etc. If I ever go to Denmark, I would prefer to cook my own food instead of putting up with rude behavior.

Instead of going to the little mermaid, you should go to Kastellet that is just nearby. It's a couple of colorful old historic military barracks that a WAY more worth than the little mermaid. Also as anyone else here I am a dane from copenhagen and I hate the little mermaid as THE landmark of copenhagen. it is not that cool. and you will have way bigger similar statues around copenhagen, although I do love H. C. Andersen (who doesn't)

Copenhagen is sprawling & flatter than Kansas so is the ideal city to cycle in. I refer to it as the equestrian city because it is built for riding in (also because it feels like everyone's middle-class. When I'm in Copenhagen I rent a bike using an app called Donkey Republic which is really good value-for-money.
Growing up we used to refer to bikes as horses in the slang in our area.

My mom went to copenhagen once, and she sayed that if you want something from there, please pay attention to the prices, because denmark is a really expensive country. So I decide to have guitar strings (Im a guitar player, and I was so suprised that they were almost 80 crowns, but here in finland they are only about 8 euros

I dont get why people get so disappointed when seeing the little mermaid like what is the big difference from in real life and on the pictures. If you are expecting it to be this big statue then you need to get your mindset right, Im sorry but its just a normal sized mermaid sitting on a rock sorry to burst your bubble.

Also about the service: Just because we Danes do not approach a new table with the comment: Hey I am Chad I will be your waiter tonight does NOT mean we are not into providing good service, we just provide it on a much more less superficial level than Americans would do. I really preferer the Danish way to be honest.

Yeah dont be too confident about leaving your kid in a stroller outside the grocery store. With the influx of refugees and immigrants from africa, eastern europe and places like syria its best to be safe than sorry. Not saying something WILL happen, but dont get too comfortable either and use common sense.

1 thing you will or should love for sure, is the security in knowing you wont leave with a life long dept bill.
No mater what happens.
You need a Doctor, An Ambulance and/or hospital, X-Ray. etc. You will get the help you need and you will not get a bill. It is free.
