I hope Chapek and the rest of Disney are reading these comments. I agree. If Fastpass becomes a paid service, and it's not less than a dollar a piece, yeah, I'm probably done with Disney. It just won't be worth it anymore. It won't even be worth my annual pass. I really miss being able to go in, ride 3 rides that I want to ride in less than an hour, grab a snack, and then leave. Right now if I go in, and I want to ride Splash Mountain or something, I can't make a FastPass, I have to wait 70 minutes for that one ride, and then have to call it a day cause I'm out of time. And if they're telling me that 3 Fastpass system isn't coming back, that just makes Disney World not fun. It makes it stressful. It used to be a stress reliever for me. It's sad, truly sad that Disney lets money control their decisions.

Controversial take: I dont think the paid fast pass system would be that bad. In my mind it will reduce the time for the regular que's by a decent amount, less people in the fast pass line means the regular line will move quicker. If the qr code que system comes with this change I feel like you are going to be waiting a lot less if the system is implemented correctly. Now that being said they have to test it to see if it works, fast pass or not Disney's goal is to get the lines moving quicker. i suppose thats why they are doing it in Paris, kind of like a test run.

Loved hearing The Chieftains music playing in the background while you were eating the candied bacon! I love how that area plays their music! Also the Paris fast pass situation I feel is a complete joke and nothing like Walt Disney would implement. Its very sad that they are trying to make people pay per ride to skip the lines, plus making all of the queues virtual, thats not Disney. But we shall see how long that lasts there and if itll come here. Crossing my fingers it doesnt!

We have the standby pass implemented in Tokyo Disney land & sea. It works very well! You will log in into the app and they will give you time when you can come to the attraction and start queuing. I really like it, cause I havent had to wait any longer than 45 minutes in the standby pass queue. Also Tokyo Disney land & sea doesnt have paid fast pass. Once the fast pass tickets are gone, they are gone (some have open slots in the morning & afternoon, others have just morning slots).

If Disneyworld takes on the Paris fast pass system and I have to pay extra for it, I will never go to Disney again. and I'm a hard-core Disney fan who travels from PA at least once a year. The lines are already too long and without fastpass right now, you spend more time in line than doing anything else. I'm not giving them any more money than the already extremely excessive prices currently in place just to wait in lines all day. That's a load of bull.

I've run line-ups for autographs at a major convention, and we used a method similar to that line's closed, come back at this time system for our lines, and _generally_ it worked out pretty well (assuming that the line was moving at all. I could see some chaos ensuing when they tell people to come back at 1PM, but then the ride shuts down, so by 1PM there's still plenty of existing line and no room for new people. They'll figure it out though.

But Orlando is using the fast pass line for some people. Many people went up the fast pass line and i overheard people referring to that line as fast pass. So I dont know who gets the use of that line, but it was being used 2 weeks ago when we were there. The cast member at the entrance had them touch their Magog bands or phone and off they went. And no, it wasnt disabled people. They were in the normal line just like we were.

It seems like a lot of the free things at Disney that people have taken for granted are slowly going away: fastpasses, Disney Magical Express, etc. I think Disney should keep these to help make the vacation more affordable, especially with the cost of a Disney trip without these things. Also, I've heard talk of Disney making the fastpasses into virtual boarding groups like Rise of the Resistance.

Sigh. Its so frustrating. Growing up my family couldnt afford to go to any Disney park. I finally went to Disney world a few years ago bc my in laws paid, but as prices keep increasing idk if Ill ever be able to go back. It is just getting too expensive, and it was already pretty inaccessible to anyone not rich

I will have no problem paying for my FastPass, as long as tickets stay around the same price, or go down slightly. I think Tim had a great point about the lines moving faster now that there is no Fast Pass. I remember I waited longer in the FastPass line then the people in the Stand by line once for a ride.
