Mophie is the absolute best. You're going to pay for it, but you DO get what you pay for. They charge the fastest and most efficiently and I've tried MANY. Most of these battery packs come Pre-charged. You're lucky to get 25% power on most phones out of the power they come with. Don't expect the small ones that carry easy to fully charge your phone either. On a newer big phone, you'll be lucky to get 40% out of them. It's more than enough to hold you over though. To charge a tablet, laptop or if you're going to be away from power for a long time, buy a big one. Try to avoid buying anything electronic in the airport too. You will pay scalper prices. Plan and get it beforehand. Feel better Mark.

I think it's a good idea to put on your to-do to fully charge your phones, laptops, iPads, cameras and any backup batteries that you may have the night before travelling. Then, you don't have to run around inside the airport looking for sockets, or have to force yourself to buy those batteries at the airport at a premium price. I like that these days many planes will have sockets available for you to charge your devices when we are flying. However, they take up spaces and if you are flying in economy, I don't feel comfortable sleeping while I have all the wires surrounding me. Great to have them for emergency and I have used them before, but I avoid them if I can.

I know on a cruise ship on my last cruise there was only plug outlet in my cabin and one of the plugs is some weird plug for a cpap machine or a washer or dryer or something. It was pretty useless because Ive never seen any appliances that use that weird plug for sale on Amazon or Best Buy and really annoying because it only leaves you with one plug so its helpful to use the real plug to keep the batteries charged so you can charge more devices and even bring a power strip so you can have more plugs when you need them. :(
Why the cruise lines waste a perfectly good plug by putting a real plug next to a heavy duty plug, I have no idea. :(

Please be aware, you want to look at the Output stats on the device as well as the mAH. Yes, a higher mAH does provide more charges but the Amps (A) in the Output is a good indicator of how fast the device will charge. For example, a portable charger (or a charger in general) that gives an output of 5. 0V at 1. 0A will take a lot longer to charge the device than a charger that gives an output of 5. 0V at 2. 0A.

I spent the whole video trying to decide if over your right shoulder sits the patron saint of fathers (St. Joseph) or the patron saint of travelers (St. Christopher. Hope you feel better and thanks for your Paris videos. They were a big help during my solo trip to Paris 3 months ago.

Fantastic topic! It's easy for many of us to forget to see if we need to replace battery backups. I remember going to New Zealand and Australia in 2017. I had a smartphone (LG phone) could change out batteries. Thank goodness I brought FOUR batteries to keep it going!

Its milliamphours, not milliamps per hour. There even is a SI unit for charge: the Coulomb (C, which of course in base units is Ampere second (As.
Unfortunately charge is not what we care about. We care about energy. Battery packs capacity should be stated in Wh or J.

I have an anker 20100 mah. I can go for full long weekend trips with it with only plugging into my car and it. And itll still have charge at the end. Really good product but takes a long time to charge.

If you are ever stuck for a charge for your phone, every hotel room TV has a USB port somewhere on it. It might only be a small 500ma output but should near fully charge any phone overnight.

Hello Mark, I would like to see see a review of those chargers and what you suggest we use for travel. Trying to prepare for a trip in a few months.
