45 years ago I spent two weeks over Christmas on Provo. One little hotel that did it's best and not too badly at that, and not much else other than the local village. I spent every day snorkelling in the lagoon and a lot of days just going over the island on a motorcycle. It was already all cut up like those butcher's charts of beef cuts for future 'development'. There was this one wealthy American family at the hotel. This arrogant American middle aged woman - the matriarch - spent her mornings snorkelling, hammering off bits of coral she fancied and filling plastic bags with her trophies although there were notices posted on the beach and in the hotel about not doing that. One morning she emerged out of the lagoon on the beach as I was walking by and I told her she was destroying the corals. She said something rude in reply and, well, I grabbed her little geologists pick and cracked out her front teeth. Big brouhaha at the hotel but as my father was the Governor General of Barbados it didn't go all that far. And now, watching this obese damn American Bozo going on. sorry.

I just went here 2 weeks ago and I will say I definitely recommend it. Everything he said is correct. I will say I would definitely get a rental car, theres a ton to do and see and driving whenever we needed came in handy. The driving on the left was a little weird at first but you get use to it. Also, make sure your internet on your phone is ready for you to be outside the US. We only had WiFi to use so driving around was a little difficult trying to get around but we just used the map and figured it out pretty easy after a couple days.

Excellent video. It is truly as Wolter described, a beautiful piece of paradise with everything a beach lover would want. If theres one downside to the place, and l hope the authorities make note: despite signs stating beach chairs are gratis, the front rows are controlled by local goons who will come over as soon as you sit on one of them to demand $10 per chair. No cops will intervene with these local thugs. Aside from this, it is a beautiful beach, white sand, pristine waters with fabulous views both over & underwater.

There are no words to do justice to the beauty of these islands. Ive been a regular visitor for ten years and I still marvel at the breathtaking beauty- and the food. .. .OMG Ive never had a bad meal here unless Ive cooked it myself. Somewhere Cafe and Bar is my favourite watering hole, right on the beach and a few steps away from a gorgeous reef and safe swimming. I cant praise it enough. Its absolutely unique, relatively unspoiled and incredible

The beach at Grace Bay is consistently ranked as one of the best 10 beaches in the world. The Sands is a great place to stay and centrally located on Grace Bay. The island has come a long way in the last 20 years but there is still not much else to do on the island and if you rent a car you would only need it for a day to see everything. It is a more expensive place to go then say Mexico but you also dont get sick from the water.

Have been here several times and will return. Best water of any island in the caribbean. My main reason to return is the diving, its what i live for. We stay at beaches resort. Northwest has the best dive sites while Grace bay is a shorter boat ride to some decent dives. If you have never been to Turks you owe it to yourself to make it here. Its not cheap, but worth every penny and the memories you will take.

Just got back. The beaches are beautiful. I took an underwater picture and if it wasnt for a small shell in the pic, youd swear I took the picture in a pool. Soft white sand, and the turquoise water is amazing. Went to Club Med. Dont go to Club Med. I didnt like the service there. The beach itself is what saved our trip. When we go back, well stay elsewhere or rent a villa.

We are renting two cottages right next to each other from July 9-16, 2022 with two other families. Thinking about arriving 3 days earlier to stay at The Sands at Grace Bay so we have some time with just our family. Do you think 10 days is too long to be on the islands since there is not a lot to do there? Our kids at the time of the trip will be 23, 21, 19, and 17.

I went to Provo on my honeymoon and its a quiet and relaxing Island. Coming from Jamaica this is night and day. I would definitely recommend getting a rental and go to the grocery store if you have a hotel room with a kitchen like my wife and I did.
