As a Peruvian citizen I must agree with you on how beautiful our landscapes are, and how people provide a welcoming atmosphere for tourists. However, I think it would be as informative if you also did mention the conditions in which many of our people live in. The amount of children you see with burnt faces due to extreme cold weather conditions, and how many of them are working on the streets. I know tourism is meant for people to look only the beauty of a place, but all it does is set an illusion miles away from reality. I believe this would incentivize people be more conscious, and hopefully inspire a change of action helping Peru as well as other Latin American countries.

I am Swiss and lived the past four years in Barranco. I really do not see a problem with driving in Peru. Just use your horn and a c. tu madre frequently and on any random occasion. Miraflores is much cleaner and nicer than most US-Cities. The food is incredible and in Lima just try La Barra, Rafael, Maido or Central. Also do not miss sandwiches from La Lucha or their soup place Siete Sopas. Special tip for Surfers is Lobitos or the area of Mancora up north. Within one hour flight from Lima you can have it all, from desert to wonderful beaches, jungle or glacier. I love Peru.

You gotta visit the Mountains regions in Peru, cities like Huancayo, Huaraz or Ayacucho are so under rated, you get a kickass time exploring there besides the usual spots! also do not miss out on the north and jungle cities in Peru! super exotic and the food, oh man! Listen to Wolters, everything is accurate and like any country with strange things like cuy which is not a rat btw, it is reaised eatign vegetables and grains. So nothing that shocked me anyway! Peruvian Food it's one of my favorites now! top notch!

Thank you. Peru is beautiful. I don't think I could eat guinea pig. I like that their legal if they help with altitude sickness. I really don't want to get altitude sickness. It has medicinal properties. I'll take a break. I wonder if the Amazon is safe because of malaria. I like the colorful buildings and friendly people. I like that there's a lot of indigenous culture. You're funny. I have physical disabilities. The food and scenery looks great.

What shocked me is how blue the sky is. I'm guessing that's down to the altitude not a polarising filter. Mark you are such a nice guy, thanks for sharing your travels. BTW, did you have any issues breathing? I'm an unfit diabetic so don't know if I could handle it but I'd love to try. Wonder also if I can get Inca Kola here in the UK?

Love your videos snd Ive been following for years. Cuy is eaten in the Andes. In recent years one can find it in Lima mainly for tourists. And people dont really eat the a whole guinea pig, it is actually share within the family (so they get really small pieces. There is lots of seafood dishes in the coast. :)

Most Peruvians are nice to white people, tourists, not so much to black people or indigenous people, that is mostly in all Latin America, most in South America. they still have that colonized mentality over there. I was born there, I still go often. My dad is from Arequipa, My Mother from Huancayo

Hi,
Coca leaves are not a drug, less cocaine.
When coca leaves are mix with quemicals then you get the illigal drug. You can mix bay leaves or certain flowers with quemicals and you will get the same strong effect.
Coca leaves by itself are NOT a drug.

Peruvian food is great. But make sure you check to see that the bathroom has soap (most don't, otherwise employees definitely aren't washing their hands, and you WILL get a fecal-oral route infection or parasite.
