Hawaii. Big Island road trip and Kilauea eruption
video description
I've just gone to Mauna Kea in November, it was gorgeous!
The Big Island is so fantastic and awe-inspiring. I just love it. Great video, you covered almost everything.

One of the big keys to going to high altitudes is maintaining proper hydration. If you aren't needing to pee, you aren't drinking enough. To absorb oxygen, your lungs need to be moist. If you let them get too dry, you do don't absorb enough oxygen. When that happens, it's too late. Your digestive tract has already stopped absorbing water due to the low oxygen levels. Your only choice is now IV fluids, or going to a much lower elevation. Note, at high altitudes, the air is dry and drys your lungs out faster. You need to drink more water to counter that.

There is actually a lot to see and do on the Kona side of the island. One of the best ways to see the island is to take a heli tour. Super informative, but you also get to see all the different lava floes from different eruptions and see how time has worked it-s magic on the lava fields. Also, some great diving and snorkeling on the Kona side. You can even dive with Manta Rays!

Great job brother, I've been living here for about 5 years and was actually in the next town over from Leilani. The explosions were constant and the sky was reddish orange. Luckily I've experienced the beaches and surrounding areas before the lava reclaimed them.

Kilauea is still very active and erupting at the moment lol. Not a big one but just at the crater. Yes the earthquakes are frequent, we just get used to it haha. Great work thank you!
