I think Walt Disney would stroke out if he saw what they charged to experience his dream. He wanted families to be able to come and enjoy. Now, it's costs more than some small countries are worth just to take your family!
I will say, Busch Gardens - Tampa is probably still one of my favorite amusement parks to visit. Six Flags/ Marriott's Great America in Gurnee had really let their security lapse and they had some trouble for quite a while so we've not been back. That used to be a great place to go as well.

Disney/Universal and parks like Gardaland arent comparable, these are just independent(or sometimes chained own) parks, primarily for day visits, whereas Disney/Universal are resorts primarily (which is why they can afford to build more expensive rides and have more technology like apps.
Really the only European resorts are PortAventura and Disneyland Paris, the rest are primarily for day trips and should as such be compared with six flags/cedar fair type parks.

I found the US parks much safer than many in Europe. We have had issues with drunk teenagers in an otherwise beautiful and fun park in Gothenburg Sweden called Lisseberg, as well we in Legoland in England. However, any issue like that in Disney World or Universal and there will be uniformed and non-uniformed security onto it in seconds. We saw a woman falling over in Epcot (the heel of her shoe broke) and there were staff to assist her IN SECONDS! Impressive.

Am British - went to Orlando Sept 2017. went to Disney's Magical Kingdom and Epcot, Universal Studios' Marvel Adventure, Universal Studios' Volcano Bay Water Park, standard Universal Studios and Sea World. Man I did have great times and it's not cheap although but well worth it. It's better than European theme parks.

In my experience, in an Italian park you more often just go inside to watch something beautiful; you are not that active. - Gardaland used to be more typical European and more romantic until about ten years ago. Now they try to imitate Disneyland and it has lost its flair. A pity. :-(

I have been to the amusement park in Vienna. My mom and I rode the Ferris Wheel, it was an amazing view. But I didnt realize I was in amusement park until you said something. I am used to Disney and Universal where it clearly obvious you are in an amusement park.

What I realized when it comes to theme parks, in the US they seem to be more kid-friendly. Even the staff engages with kids and tries their best to make it a happy time for the kiddies. In Germany not so much, just my experience.

You have lovely children, they seem intelligent and well spoken. Kudos to you guys!
Did you film this prior to Covid? Or is everyone just pretty chill about it over there now?

Loved the Single Ride Lane in Europa Park here in Germany last year. If you're not with a group and are open to ride alone (or with a stranger next to you, you can skip lots of waiting. :)

Energylandia in Poland > better than all parks I've been to in the U. S. especially six flags which are notoriously dirty. Disney/Universal are at least respectable.
