Ok, I saw your video here and as a lifelong San Antonian, I watched it and was waiting for you to mention it. You didnt. It ALWAYS gets overlooked and I dont know why! Its one of the very first things I recommend to people from out of town. Its like its invisible! Its only the tallest structure in our city! The Tower of the Americas or just, The Tower as we call it. It was built for the 1968 Worlds Fair and at 750 high its the best view of the city. Its got a bar and slowly revolving restaurant at the top. Go when the weather is good for a great 360 degree view out on the open air observation deck. You ride a glass elevator on the outside of the column so you get the sense of height immediately. Go on a clear, cool night and its spectacular. Seeing all the city lights going straight out from it is beautiful. Since we are an old city based on old Indian and Spanish trails, we dont have as much of a grid system of streets like a lot of cities. Everything radiants from a central hub (downtown) like spokes on a wheel. Still, for the life of me I dont know why it always gets overlooked. Always! Its worth it, trust me. Ive lived here for 55 years and its still one of my favorite places. So weird, its invisible. Ha Ha! Enjoy!
Its a mandatory thing to do downtown if you ask me. Its not like its hard to find, just look up.

Don't forget to visit Austin.
San Antonio is not culturally diverse: everything is Mexican oriented. The food, the design, the culture, the everything. If you like something from your hometown then come to San Antonio where you can get it but with a Mexican-spin. This city is known for being lamer than Austin, having been the fattest city in the nation, second most dangerous city in the nation at one time, building two arenas for the Spurs, voting against light-rail, primarily focusing on Mexican culture, having mainly Mexican restaurants and burger joints, not supporting other culturally diverse restaurants like Cambodian and Mediterranean, not having any libraries or bookstores in the Southside for years, and being one of the most economically segregated cities in the country.

I guess it wouldnt be a YouTube comments section without some people talking smack. Seriously, its a little exaggerated. Not all untrue unfortunately. Just remember that its one of Americas largest cities so we have some negative big city stuff too.
I can walk anywhere in my city and have at any time of day or night. Im a local with decades under my belt so I can. Im not saying its ok for everyone because it isnt. Just use common sense and situational awareness like any big city. I say we are A LOT better in that regard than other cities our size. Just an opinion of a lifelong San Antonian of 55 years.

For those who want to go to SeaWorld or Aquatica on their trip here. Buy a 2 park yearly pass at the beginning of the year on the monthly payment plan ($6. 99) per per Silver pass. This includes parking which can be quite expensive on major weekends or holidays. To get premium parking those weekends can be as much as $60 which is included with some passes. This way you spread your cost over the year not just one super expensive week

born and raised in San Antonio, i was looking for you to be wrong about things in your video but you hit the nail on the head. the only thing I can suggest to anyone visiting and who wants a truly local experience, is to visit Ericks tacos and frutaria. Truly authentic San antonio snacks food and drinks for all ages and they stay open until 3am, have fun!

The Pearl area is a must! Its the nicest and newest part of the River Walk, Southerleigh Brewery is amazing, which is connected to the Emma Hotel and Farmers market on the weekends! All at the Pearl. And if youre feeling a little crazy come check out the Bakery Pub in Lytle! Its just south of SA. We have a cool vibe and some amazing craft beer! Great video man!

The coolest thing about the Riverwalk is that my school lights up two weeks before theirs because the river starts at my school (University of the Incarnate Word. My school has a huge event about it, called Light the Way. So that is another thing to go to when visiting San Antonio! It's been going on for 30 years now!

Because of Covid you cannot just go in to the Alamo chapel anymore. I would not visit in Jan or Feb it's still to cold. Feb is Rodeo time. March thru June is good visiting time. July thru September is to hot. Oct, November is okay, Dec is chilly. April is fiesta time in San Antonio normally.
