we head to Disney's Hollywood Studios to take a ride on the newly reopened Disney Skyliner gondolas. We talk a little bit about what we think caused the incident and the closure, before we head out. Then we take a ride on the Skyliner from Hollywood Studios to Caribbean Beach then to the Riviera station and finally to EPCOT. We were able to see some of the France Pavilion construction as well as the Ratatouille ride construction from the Skyliner. Then we went into the park to see everything from ground level. We checked out some of the new photo ops in the preview center. Then we head out of the park and onto the monorail over to Magic Kingdom and then back to EPCOT to see what we could see of the park construction from the monorail. We got some good views of the entrance area, where the Leave a Legacy monoliths used to be, the new tram stop location, the Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind coaster and the Space 220 restaurant. Then we head back onto the Skyliner to go back Disney's Hollywood Studios and end out our day of updates. What do you think about the Skyliner reopening, let us know in the comments down below!

I think the snarky information board was referring to the fact that the Skyliner will sometimes stop for wheelchair accessible gondolas and the likes. For people who have never rides a gondola system, it may be seen as the ride breaking down over and over again rather than occasional stops to help other parties or let another gondola onto the system. Im sure Disney has already had angry people who had zero idea that the occasional delays werent breakdowns, which is likely why they added the sign to point out the fact that every single gondola system in the world does the same thing, to show the fact that its not unique to their Skyliner.
Similarly, thats probably why Tims gondola stopped twice. Just like the rides at Disney that are on a constantly moving track, despite the fact that each gondola moves independently, when they add on a handicap gondola or need to add one onto the track, they have to stop the system so the spacing works.
I personally trust that the week or so long evaluation they did was thorough. Disney is not well known for kidding around with that kind of stuff, and takes both guest safety and operational problems dead seriously. Im sure they also fixed the previous communication issues with passengers for when emergencies occur.

Pop was our favorite hotel by miles. Now we simply can't stay there because the gondolas are taking away from bus service. We're terrified of exactly those kind of heights situations if that makes sense. Now bus service is reduced and it's already a nightmare, and we were told bus service will be discontinued there all together within a year. So unbelievably disappointed. We are All-Star bound now. Make em stop, TIM!

Thank you for all your helpful videos! Im preparing for a first ever WDW trip for my parents, my sister and myself in February. Your information has been so helpful due to a few health issues in the family. If youre able to point out the walking distance between accessible parking and the entrances in upcoming videos that would be awesome! Again, thanks for all the super helpful information and positive vibes!

During my college program I worked at main entrance operations at Epcot and was usually sent to International Gateway. That spot where you saw minnie and goofy is usually a training spot for new friends of characters. It is not as crowded so there's not much pressure for them to be perfect before they are sent to their regular meet and greet spot: )

I can't wait for all the construction to be finished at Epcot. I'm sort of sad about it though because I think it might become a more popular park now. It's always been our favorite and it was nice that it wasn't always so crowded. I don't think we will be riding the Skyliner since it doesn't go directly park to park.

How is it getting on and off the skyliner with a stroller? Do you have to do it while the gondola is moving will they let you go to the wheelchair section? I will be traveling with my three year old and our thousand-pound stroller alone and I am very worried about this and can't find any information online. Help!

I was on the gondola 2 hours before the incident. We rode it over to Carribbean Beach & HS and back. Ran in and did FPs and as we left we saw them stopped and didnt think anything about it. Got back to the hotel and saw the news.
