Nobody ever advises new mommies to take a hand held or portable bidet/water sprayer, to the hospital with them! Cleaning after all that pushing and more so if there is tearing or surgery, is awful afterwards. Even FLUSHABLE scent free baby wipes r a great help but any pressure down there hurts so much >_< a spray bottle of ur own mix of boric acid and water to use as soap (it has a slight soapy feel and I swear is the only thing that will not sting even on severely diaper rashed skin) cause they will not give u any of that in the hospital i guess cause its more of an old great grandma thing to use lol and then that portable new mommy washer to wash before the boric acid and after it to wash it off of course, is heavenly. If u cant find those washer things, u can find the same thing sold as vaginal washers or little people bathroom supplies or bathroom supplies for post shoulder surgeries or GENTLE/pressure adjustable water picks (all sold on amazon lol. Be sure to ask if its ok to wet the stitches first and ALCOHOL FREE witch hazel (Thayer brand has them alcohol free plus aloe plus lavender or rose water and a few other water varieties) is also great after u can tolerate water without pain. Oh and if u need a pain free cream for the mom or later for baby rash, Dr. Smith ointment is also the most pain free one that u can use instead of water if an older person or baby has incredibly sensitive skin but u need to still wipe them better than just dry paper on dry skin cause its the basic idea of using a cold cream to remove makeup instead of water then the NEXT time they go, their skin might be a tiny bit less sensitive already, thanks to that ointment, and u can give the boric acid a try. Just be sure never to leave any wet! Nothing will be an instant hellish nightmare quite like an infection >_< (boric acid is whats used for infections btw. Thats its intention anyway, so if u see any tiny collections of red dots with or without little white dots as well, thats what a skin infection looks like and u can go straight for that stuff. Be sure to get the powder to water ratio correct though. Obviously, get a doctors opinion first. Silvadene is a great ointment they have to prescribe if theres ever skin that is so irritated that its burned. It has silver in it and its literally used for different degrees of burn injuries. So if u see skin is ever doing that weeping of clear odorless water that prevents ointments from sticking to the surface of the skin, theyll typically prescribe silvadene and its wonderfully pain free too. If they tell u to use that powder thats for fungus -_- its probably the suggestion of just a wound or stoma/ileostomy nurse and theyre nowhere near as qualified as a plastic surgeon or the head surgeon of the wound, colorectal, infectious disease or other surgery departments. That powder will burn like crazy if used incorrectly)

Baby's feed on demand and boys do want to feed more. You can't overfeed on the breast. They feed as much as they need. Babies have undeveloped stomach and therefore many have reflux. It is normal to see spit up when you see them crying and pulling away from the breast or bottle it different. Or persistent hiccups after burping could be sign of acid reflux or GERD which is very common in babies 0 to 4 months but even more common in boys. My baby spits up alot i noticed my diet was causing it more and the bottle now. So i now use dr. Brown bottle natryal flow bottle. Helps alot and hold them uo for 20 min.

Congratulations! He is so precious.
We had our third child this year and waiting to go to Disney till she is fully vaccinated. So we will be going two weeks after her one-year shots where she will receive the first measles vaccine. If you want Jack protected from measles he will have to wait to get that shot. You could get it early at six months but he would have to get it again at a year.
A great video to watch is The happiest Baby on the Block awesome tricks. We use white noise during naps and bedtime.
We call a pacifier Passi.

So strange hearing about upgrade packages and bundles at the hospital, Like a hotel or holiday package. so thankful for the NHS in the UK (for now eeek the future is uncertain) but I must admit it does sound like a nicer experience, but I guess that's how it works if you can throw money at people lol. (I don't mean that in a bad way, just that if you're paying for something you generally get more - nhs is paid through taxes)

lol, of course if you watch Twilight Saga in just 20 minute increments then sure you won't get it. The Twilight Saga were books, and they came out when I was in high school which was in 2008-ish. They were such a hit that they decided to make them into films. I am a fan and I still enjoy watching them but I can also laugh at them now and point out the dumb stuff. lol

We called pacifiers waw-wees, and I have never, ever seen or heard anyone call them that besides us. XD (I always see people call them binkies, and I would like to know where that came from and how it became so widespread. I never heard of it until I was older. lol)

With my daughter, we used nuk brand of pacifiers so we called them nucky (rhymes with chuckie. When she could talk, before she gave it up, we have a recording of her calling him nucky, nucky, nuckers. So cute. (She is 19 now, wish we could go back) time flies, enjoy!

Keep a feeding journal. I did this up until both of my kids started eating 5 to 7oz at a time. Theres apps you can download but i just used a note book. I have a 5 month old and a almost 2 year old

I missed it, but why did you stop nursing? I saw you in the hospital saying he was a really good nurser. Not pumping and messing with bottles all the time would relieve a lot of pressure.
