Dockside is one of my favorite hotels! I am a Pass Holder, and I am IN Orlando pretty much every other weekend. The rooms are quaint and very clean, and the key holder for the lights does require a room key. The luggage carts are by the Mobile check-in, they have their own desk. Usually they are ALL in the parking garage of Tower One if you need a luggage cart for some reason. Dockside is a family favorite.

Endless summer is a nice hotel, but it is chaotic lol. Because of the price it is family/group magnet. Depending on when you visit the noise is neverending lolol. But again a great, low cost alternative
Also, the drive to the park is not far, but I-drive can be bad depending on the time of day. Typical traffic times.

We had to do the insert card for power thing in our hotels when we were in Guatemala. I forgot there were resorts that do that but yes there are some resorts that are like that where you have to leave a key in the slot by the door of the room: )

Great review! We're locals and thinking of booking a 3 night next month. we're a family of 6, so I think this may work. Used to watch your videos more years ago (sorry. Haven't seen Jackson since he was like a month old, lol. Great to see you all!

Thanks! My niece and I will be staying here in October. It looks just like what we will need. PS I would describe the vibe as 'beach cottage' as opposed to 'dorm. ' Much nicer than any dorm room I have ever seen! I personally love the decor.

The insert card for electricity is standard for most hotels worldwide outside the US. I never knew it wasnt normal for you guys until I went on a coach tour of Europe with Americans and it was kinda funny how baffled they were by it

In Europe its very common to have those key cards. Its to save leaving lights etc on when youre not in the room. Means you cant leave anything charging though! I suppose it stops fire risks too? Xx

Not a fan of this place they tore down an iconic water park beloved by locals that was fun and affordable and replaced it with this another crappy hotel in an area already littered with them.

We got to stay in royal pacific the only time my family went to universal. We did it for our graduation gift. The thing is, we live in Texas so its not an easy flight or drive.
