we head to Disney's Animal Kingdom because we haven't been in a while and wanted to see what's new! We tried some of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary treats, checked out the golden character statues and talked about Disney Genie, Genie+ and Lightning Lane, which is coming to the park super soon. Will you be using these services on your next trip, let us know in the comments down below! We also watch Kite Tails and get to see the character kite floats landings up close! We end the day by watching the Winged Encounters parrot show near the Tree of Life

I feel like the Genie + Fast Pass system is just Disney's way to make back the money they lost during the pandemic faster. Think about it this way. If 10, 000 people a week spend $9 on a ride that's $90, 000 extra for the Disney company in one week just on those 10, 000 people alone. Not to mention the thousands of people spending different amounts that the other rides are throughout the week. Economically it's the quickest way they can make back what they lost. As far as convenience goes for park guests. Convenience probably wasn't on their bulletin board when they were creating this.

Yikes. I have to say, the more I see of Kitetails, the more disappointed I am. This probably sounds harsh but, to be honest, it's almost laughable. It's so sloppy, chaotic and disorganized looking, I'd expect much higher quality for a Disney production of any kind-- even these little shows. I am honestly hoping that they either stop it altogether, or give it a major revamp. Allowing it to continue this poorly just gives guests the impression that they didn't even try: /

Just an FYI on the statue count if you didn't know about this. Each character counts as a part of the 50. So, if there's 2 characters on one statue then that statue counts as one statue but the character count on each statue adds to the 50. So, there's actually less than 50 statues around the parks because of that. BUT there are 50 characters.

It was interesting to see which attractions are free with Disney plus and which one cost even more with the ala carte option. Does Galaxies Edge also have the lightning lane options with Disney Plus? It would be interesting to see a video touching on the other parks to see which attractions are covered by Genie Plus lightning, and which are ala carte.

I already loved Maxpass at Disneyland and hated FP+ so I'm fine with most of G+. What makes me angry though is only being able to ride things once. If there's space available and I want to use all my Lightning Lane opportunities to ride Big Thunder over and over all day I want to be able to. With Maxpass I got 20+ rides in in a day in the FP lanes.

Also adding the chicken sandwich looking at it it was flat. Im glad it had flavor to it as you said. But I also noticed it was smaller that the bun. It didnt fill the bun all the way. To me its just crazy that they have the nerve to sell things like that. Also the Mickey bar went up in price? Wow. That was only 4 Bucks in 2019. Just sad.

I used Lightning Lane on launch day yesterday at MK and my only negative takeaway was once you booked and used your LL access, that ride/attraction still showed on your tip board. So I had to hunt/search down the list to find the things I hadnt done yet. I wish it would remove the ride/attraction from the tip board once you used LL.

Hi Tim! I was wondering if you could do a video on the genie plus/ lightning lane and park hopping. Before Genie Plus, my family and I would make fastpasses for the PM over at Epcot, and go to another park in the morning and try to take full advantage of extra magic hours in the AM. How could we do something like this with Genie Plus?

I really hope this new paid Lightening Lane thing crashes and burns. It's absolutely ridiculous. I expect Disney to be money hungry but this is a whole new level of money hungry. Walt wanted his parks to be a place where families can go and enjoy together, but they're continually pricing families out.

Something we noticed at magic Kingdom yesterday. Disney is way overestimating wait times. Despite 55 to 70 min estimated wait times all day we really didn't wait more than 20 to 25 minutes all day. Seems like they moved more of their line outdoors making the lines seem super long but they move super fast
