As the capital of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City has a ton of charm and lots of fun adventures to explore. I got a chance to spend a few days there with my dad on our drive along Route 66 and here are some of the spots we found in the city. Robert: As a Olkahoman, The Cattleman Cafe. An the Cowboy Museam, are the only 2 on you list I would recomend. More recomenned would be more exciting place like Frontier city, and white water, Bricktown is way over rated! If you are a museum enthususy, I recommend the 45th Infantry museum, softball Hall of fame, andt the Firefighters Museum, all located withing 1/2 mile. The OKC zoo is pretty awesome to! I'm sure I missed a lot of othe exciting place to see in OKC!

I've lived here my whole life.
I wish they would STOP WASTING MONEY ON BRICKBAT VILLAGE, THE MUTI-COLORED MONUMENT TO A GOATHEAD STICKER THAT SONE IDIOT THINKS LOOKS LIKE A BIRD, PUTTING IN TRAIN'S THAT CAN'T RUN THROUGH WATER THAT'S OVER THE TRACK BECAUSE (as usual they half-assed engineered the track grade and it doesn't drain properly, AND JUST FIX THE DAMN STREETS IN THIS TOWN!
TO HELL WITH THE BIKE TRAILS, WE HAVE ROADS HERE THAT LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE BEEN USED FOR BOMBING RUNS, AND ARTILLERY PRACTICE! AND HAVE BEEN THAT WAY FOR YEARS, WHILE THEY JUST KEEP TRYING TO PUT MORE LIPSTICK ON THIS PIG.

I live in Oklahoma City and there is also the Kirkpatrick Planetarium within the Science Museum, Firefighters Museum, Remington Racetrack, Oklahoma City Zoo, Sam Noble Museum in Norman as well as the University of Oklahoma and the Sooners, The Womb, a psychedelic arts center, American Banjo Museum, 99s Museum of Women Pilots, Riversport Adventures and Rapids in the Boathouse district downtown OKC, as well as Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill in Bricktown. OKC has LOTS of stuff to see and do, this is just a sampling and doesn't include the myriad of attractions from surrounding towns.

You missed the Olympic training facility and white water rapid course right next to bricktown. hopefully you all at least took a stroll down the canal to see it. I know OKC has more to offer than you could imagine. it s a great city, that s affordable, safe and entertaining. you have your bad apples, but what city/ town doesn t?
I recommend anyone to make a stop in the Oklahoma city. it s huge land mass wise and places are spread out, so be prepared to drive. lol. but sooo many cool districts and areas to see! Great local restaurants and breweries too!
Love my city!

You missed The Banjo Museum. For anyone interested in banjos or music, this is a must see. The owner collects, restores and displays banjos right on the premises. They also have a gift shop with a penny presser. We parked our RV at Bass Pro and caught a trolley which dropped us off directly in front, then picked us up. The trolley is a great way to see all the downtown attractions. One ticket allows you to get off at any stop then back on to continue your, thus not having to worry about parking.

Oklahoma is for meth junkies and cops.
Locals are dumb and you see a lot of rebel flags.
Poorest education and highest incarceration rate in the United states.
Just go to the toilet and flush your money if your contemplating a trip to okc, trust me, please believe me it will have the same satisfactory result.
When your done you can honestly say, I had the Oklahoma experience.

There is a new park at the Scissortail Bridge area in OKC. Lots of other things as MattieB says below. I love the Cattlemen's and have eaten there for over 50 years. My wife and I had Prime Rib there on our 50th anniversary. El Reno is the home of the onion burger, BTW. Nice video and I am watching all your route 66 vids too
