What you just ate is actually consumed in India as 'Makhana'
A dry fruit.
It's baked in sand then skin removed by hammer blow. Inside pops out like popcorn. A round ball. Very unique flavor.
Very good source of protein.
And a tasty snack. Baked in salt.

Mark eating jengkol, your pee will be stink. we dont eat it young raw jengkol. In Indonesia we eat the brown color jengkol ( more mature) and made curry or dark sweet soy sauce. uncle lives like local Indonesian house the olden days.

King coconut and orange coconut are two different things. If you pluck King coconut like this it gets broken(wasted so many that way -) As far as I know King coconut is native to Sri Lanka.
