i fly due to my ajob (aircraft engineer in a CAMO, but they never fly us bussiness or at least premium economy.
last flight was in lufthansa economy for 13+ hours. Let me tell you, when the previous day you have been working and you are expected the next day to work again and you ahve had a 13. 5 hour flight and a 2+ hour connecting flight economy really takes a toll onyou and you not in a position to really work next day.
this looks pretty good, but then again all bussiness classes have looked good to me (except Lufthansa's ones recently)

Somehow I managed to not see this one until now. Very interesting as always - the seat did look a bit tight, but you said it's still comfy. Well, great that you had six hours deep sleep there. I'm just a very bad sleeper on planes, even on the biggest Business of First Class bed (partly because even after after way over 1000 flights I always think I miss something ) - thank you for your dedicated trip reports!

Hey! Jeb about your Jeb's score board, One more to add Clothing Attire. The Clothing Attire rated 2 of five stars. Very disappoint to see you wore outdated 1980s nerdy plaid shirts all the times. Hello today is 2023, not 1980s! I will frown if you remain prefer to wear the nerdy plaid shirt as your wacky tasteless trademark.

You are a strange man I dont know anyone who enjoys these flights. I used to travel a lot for business and I thank my lucky star that I dont need to do it anymore. I dont care how comfortable the flight itself is. Its still just a glorified bus and the jet lag sucks.

Just been from Bangkok to helsinki, great flight, business class was good, not amazing, the seats are not as good as say emirates, unfortunately finnair have announced a raft of cutbacks which will definitely sway my choice when I book future flights

So nice to hear that Finnair has great in-flight service. I'm hoping some day to fly LAX - HEL - SIN and then return to LAX via DOH on Qatar during the winter and grab some view of the Aurora if the Green Lady chooses to make and appearance.

Finnairs new business class version is far worse than this. This was just great.
In the new one you dont really have a seat. No way to adjust it. Clearly theyve just packed it tighter to get extra rows to the new premium economy section.

I agree about the meal. Not only the small quantity of Chicken but the fact that there was no sauce. I'm not sure I could have eaten that meal completely dry like that and I'm not sure that rice was an appropriate accompaniment either.

Having lived on the west coast just about all my life, I like going to Europe from there as long as it is direct. You leave late and arrive in the mid to late afternoon which allows me to keep the body clock rhythm a little better.

The Iittala Ultima Thule glasses and lineup are quite popular in Finland, typically only brought out to guests when you're considered worth the risk of accidentally breaking it. Otherwise you get the Ikea glass. :-]

Ugly food in B class at 7: 50, was really disappointed But Jeb is charismatic, filming and screening nice, very pleasant to watch anyway. Very good attitude towards viewers, appreciate professional work!

I fly between the Middle East and California all the time. You really need to fly business on these routes. I will return to California in December: Jeddah to LAX direct on Saudia: 17 hours in the sky

Being founded in 1923 Finnair is the worlds 6th oldest airline still in operation and with no on board fatalities or airframe loss incidents since 1963 its also considered one of the safest airlines.

Glass name is Ultima Thule.
It was created by Finnish designer, Tapio Wirkkala in 1968.
I use these every day - one next to me atm.
Finnair started to use Ultima Thule in 1969.

Ive flown Finnair from Singapore to Helskini and Helskini to LAX in business I thought it was very average. In comparison to Qantas Business A380 (Mel-Lax-Mel) so much more comfortable

I love planes, I have loved them since a kid. And I would love to take the long way because I would get to see the world under me and plus be on that great plane for longer.
reply

The glasses are from Iittala's Ultima Thule collection, designed by Tapio Wirkkala. The Finlandia vodka bottle used to have the same design, but sadly they modernized it.

Finnair is very underrated airlane, i never worry about flying when flying for them, also the new Finnair business class is very good i higly recommend
reply

I'm a Finn and try to avoid Finnair since they started to use the Airbus. Flying to the United States in a non-US plane is just plain wrong.

I flew the Same flight as you, To Helsinki to London (LHR) in Finnair A350XWB in economy premium class. Its was incredible flight with Finnair
reply

By the way Helsinki-Vantaa means just that it is technically an airport of Helsinki but it is in Vantaa witch is a city near Helsinki.
reply

Hi Jeb, question - is it true that in Finnair business there is no meal selection nor a pre-flight beverage? Thanks for enlightening me!
reply

Those glasses were designed by the Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala, they are supposed to look like melting ice in the springtime.
reply

Oh, alas! On a lot of your trips I personally would choose the shrimp/prawns but here I learn of your shellfish allergy.
reply

The food quantity is a bit lower in Europe compared to the US, or maybe Finnair is trying to cheap out a bit. Anyways, great video!
reply

Finnair business class is so good Ive been on it twice no recline but you can turn your seat into a bed by yourself
reply

As a proud Finn, I can say that Finnair and Finland are some of the greatest and most beautiful things you could ever see.
reply

Yo! I was in this class exact plane in business class in February when I left Finland to go to Los Angeles for vacation.
reply

This just makes my day! Finally someone flying with Finnish airliner! And i can recommend flying with Finnair too!

My business class experiences on Finnair (Bangkok to Helsinki and back) were the best flights I've ever had!
