Hey Jeb,
Couple of things,
As you say there are 2 types of Virgin A330, but each has a different Upper Class Suite, as one class of 330 was ex Air-Berlin planes purchased to cover the loss off Dreamliner capacity during the engine repair program.
Second, you do NOT have to wait for Virgon staff. to convert the bed, they will do it if asked I've done it dozens of times myself. There's no rule!
I would. alsp. say the Clunhouse lounge at LHR. may be one of the best in the world!

Once my flight got delayed for about 7 hours and then my connection got cancelled so I had to book two other flights to get to my destination. It took four separate flights and 21 hours for what should have been a two-flight five hour trip. The night before the airline actually called me and said my flight was cancelled and they had bumped the flight for one day. It was a mess. My advice to you; never try to travel when a nor'easter is coming!

The original Virgin a330-300 configuration with the same type of seat but arranged 1-2-1 was even worse than this, so whilst it doesnt look like it this is an improvement on what they originally had. There is one good feature of the otherwise cramped seat though - if you are travelling as a couple the ottoman can be used as a seat so you can dine with your travelling companion. It gets a bit cosy but its really nice to be able to do that on a flight.

Yes Yes Yes. How is it that HSBC are on every areo bridge. I cant beileve that I was the only person who thought that.
Another one, What plane can you smoke on? if the answer is none then why do they alway say this is a non smoking flight. Its overhang from over 30 years ago and it needs to go and the symbols need to go. If you don't know that you can not smoke in a plane or the planes toilet you should not be on there.

I actually flown virgin atlantics (now sadly retired) Boeing 747-400 on august of 2018 and loved it and the economy section on the a330 looked exactly how I remembered the virgin Atlantic 747s interior, ah good times, I rode virgin Atlantics a350 and it was really nice, I love their new redone economy section, well redone from the old 2018 one

My Virgin Atlantic crew to London from Atlanta were some of the best. They were so attentive and friendly I couldnt believe it. Im super loyal to Delta, but I feel they are more worried about always picking up the trash and lose sight of the client. I didnt experience this on Virgin, KLM, or Air France.

The best C product crossing the pond is still Singapore, even though the A380s flying JFK-FRA still have the older business class.
I also have to acknowledge Americans 777, Finnair A350, Aer Lingus A330 and the new Iberia A350 seats as being excellent for business class across the Atlantic.

Virgin is a dreadful service, poor quality poor service over priced and generally uncomfortable. Ohh lets put the windows behind us thats a good idea. not. and then if you are tall people passing including the staff knock your feet. Just not good enough especially if you are a family.

Whenever I fly to the USA it's usually with Delta/KLM. Twice I've been with Lufthansa but usually it is Delta on their A330 from Amsterdam then KLM's 777 on the route back.
With Lufthansa I flew on their A340 there and back from DTW which was amazing seeing that beast climb.

Ah for me if I'd paid that much money, I'd be disappointed. Part of the joy of flying is admiring the scenery and facing away from the window is strange. I would have to get drunk instead from the bar and make a spectacle of myself! Cabin also, looked a bit chaotic and cramped.

The only time I went from the states to London Heathrow, I was sick the the entire time. I spent it in the bathroom in coach and the flight attendant, Scott, kept checking on me and brought me crackers and ginger ale. I was just so sick. They were so kind with me.

If I had to cross the Atlantic, I would rather fly on Aer Lingus. The stopover at Dublin makes US CBP clearance feel less intimidating compared to when the clearance is done at US soil. Plus, it (or its subsidiaries) serves smaller cities in the UK.

I enjoy your videos, even though I would never be able to afford the first class flights! But it is very interesting and enjoyable to see what it's like. Maybe one day I'll get to experience it. Keep up the good work!

At least you didn't pay to get transferred as a result of the cancellation. And the important thing is you've gotten to do your final destination on the same day. Question is, how much time did you save?

Good honest review, i had been wondering about the seat, like window viewing, im not to sure if i like it. Its expensive to fly upper class so it makes sense to pick the right airline.

Well, Jeb, they are still flying 330s into Heathrow. If you were flying into Manchester, you could be flying on a 747. I think I'd rather fly that than a 330. Much roomier.

At 9: 10 Did that Virgin Atlantic bed go sideways! What a ripoff you cant see your entertainment screen or window when lying flat nor can you eat or work? What the heck!

Hey I like your videos. It would be cool if you showed the full takeoff and landing in real time and unedited. Just a suggestion. Keep up the great work!

I would like to have known why you didn't choose another SAS flight, or was the implication that it was just easier at that point to just go direct?

The seating you were in for this flight is what I will incur when I fly from Sydney to Auckland for my 50th Birthday aboard Air New Zealand Business Class

That first class configuration is not something I expect from Virgin. The new Delta One configuration on their redone 767-400 is so much better.
