Siem Reap to Bangkok by CASINO Bus - 12+ HOURS & overland border crossing PurplePotato: I loved watching this. I live in Thailand now, in Chiang Mai. Everytime I have gone to Bangkok it is an experience. Some friends and I want to Bangkok a few years ago and we were going to take the sleeper train back but we missed it. We hopped on motorcycle taxis and chanced down our train. I think that was the scariest experience of my life. They went even faster and crazier than the tuk tuks. Sitting on one of those carrying our food container, holding a Thai Ice tea and with my backpack on. I am so surprised I did not die.

I've done this as well, once from Nairobi to Arusha, which is across the border in Tanzania near Mt. Kilimanjaro. The other was by rental car (5 days) from Johannesburg, S. Africa, up to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, then to Chobe N. P. in Botswana, and back to Johannesburg through Botswana. Both were interesting experiences, to say the least, and both were solo.

I decided during quarantine I-m going to watch all of your vlogs. I came across you two a few months ago and I-m so glad that I did! You show the reality of travelling, the goof and bad and I really appreciate that! You both always seem super grateful for everything that your doing! Love you two and stay safe-

What do you guys do to secure your valuables when you leave your hotel room. I've heard many horror stories of the room 'safe' not being at all safe in many SE Asian countries. can't imagine you carry everything with you every time you go out - so what do you do? what's your experience/advice?

Tuk-tuks are scams ts better to just get a motorbike if your travelling alone and taxis or uber are better if travelling with more than one person. this is like 3 years late but this is for people going to Thailand and using this video as a guide

That crossing is a lot less scary than Malaysia to Thailand. They take your passport and then you have to drive half an hour before you get it back and we were warned by our guide that people go missing between the 2 points.

My message to everyone, while it may seem funny for people in West, please be careful while travelling. I saw Kara and Nate letting go off their guard to much. If you see something shady, get away ASAP.

Giant Ibis now runs a VIP bus service between siem reap & bangkok. Costs about $30usd, with drinking water & lunch included. Takes about 6 hrs. I've taken this route maybe 20 times over the years-
