MAKING WINE IN ITALY! The Whole Process 3Sons: I can't help but wonder why their production method is what it is. For most types of wine (and cider) once fermentation is complete, you try everything to avoid adding additional oxygen into the product, but this seems to be the opposite. O2 addition is what causes acetification (vinegar. From what I've seen from my winemaker friends is the fruit is de-stemmed, and then crushed, allowed to rest for one to two days and then pressed. The resulting must is then fermented and then stored as per the winemakers desires.
I know it might seem like a minor difference, but from a professional aspect, its poles apart.
Anyway, good luck to them!

Its sad at the end the man said -you guys did a great job- then he corrected himself to say -you gals- and finally correcting his wrong speak again and said -you people-. Its sad we are here, and grown adults have to think like this so not to cause a backlash by offending somebodys feelings. God please take me back to the 80's and keep me there.
And they said the right are the fascists.

My dad made his first homemade wine out of locally-picked blackberries. I had a taste of it before it was completely finished (he said, but it was DELISH! It must have had a bit of sugar still left, because it was more 'sweet' than wine should be, but I don't care, it was amazing. Even my husband was able to drink it without getting a headache that normal wine sulfites give him.

Somehow sad how Americans are watering down the great traditions almost everywhere with their superficial understanding and general lack of reverence for the ancient customs and rituals. This video, with the beautiful Tuscan backdrop contrasted with the overriding talk of volume, yield and privilege made me cringe a little.

Title says -The Whole Process-. Video starts of with pressing the already fermented grapes. Wine nerd me wants to know about crush and de-stemming, cold stabilization, yeast and yeast nutrient used, punch downs or pour overs. What's left to do but age and bottle?

Once I was cleaning out my closet from high school and found a backpack around 6 years old and opened it and smelled something that really smelled like wine. I opened a bag and found a plastic bag full of grapes which was wine now! That was my lunch 6 years ago!

Boy, can I relate? After pressing our crop by hand we purchased our first press. What a time saver. My wife and I had just as much fun making our wine as these folks seem to be having. The family that makes wine together, stays together?

I thought that well-aged wines are healthier then young wines, but i read on doksi. net young red wines contain greater tannin levels than other type of wine. I always paid more for some years old wine however young wine is better. LOL

Hey, did you leave Juventus.
Do Italians not have any other job than making wine. Well, really mouthwatering. This press is good for taking juice from cashew apple. Are they making it for personal use or for trading?
